PARISH NOTICES FOR JULY 07/03***The Senior Usher Board will meet immediately following morning worship in front of the church. All Business Network, American Health and Home Care, Americare Family Practice and Jason Snead of Farm Bureau are sponsoring a Personal Finance Workshop on Saturday, July 9 th, 2011 from 4:30pm-7:00pm here at Union Memorial. This workshop will focus on financial literacy, give money saving tips, and budgeting. This event is free and open to the public. On Sunday, July 10 during morning worship service, we will have a Graduation Ceremony to honor God for working in and through Ms. Andria Hayes and Ms. Jalen Lawson. This is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our sight. From January 2008 through December 2010, GPAL hosted weekly community gatherings at Windsor and Peeler Recreation Centers. The activities included youth/adult dialogue, specialty classes, board games, and community building exercises, games, food, music, dancing, and other activities. The Community Gatherings will be free to participants. Those who want to participate will be able to register at the door. For those who would like to volunteer for the Community Gatherings, please come to the planning meeting at Windsor Center on July 11th at 6:00pm. On Friday, July 15 at 6:00pm - 8:30pm at the Windsor Recreation Center, GPAL, Officers from GPD, and members of local churches will sponsor and support a Community Gathering to re-launch other Community Gatherings to be held at local community centers. On July 10 th and 24 th the SPRC will be sponsoring a bake sale in the fellowship hall after church all items will be sold for $1 please prepare to enjoy some delicious treats. This is our fundraiser for the staff appreciation project.
