Every year, our youth participate in Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday. Souper Bowl of Caring is a longstanding tradition where the youth pick a charity of their choice that works directly with those experiencing hunger on a regular basis. Because of their love for serving people who are homeless downtown, the Catalyst Youth have decided to take up a collection this year for the Bethesda Center for the Homeless. You will see a couple of youth standing in the back after the service with big pots...let's fill those up today and, together, serve our brothers and sisters in downtown Winston-Salem. We have a BUS! You might have noticed a new addition to our parking lot. Thanks to your prayers and donations we have been able to purchase a bus for LUMC. A 2006 Ford E450 handicapped-accessible 18 passenger bus was purchased on 12/14/2016 at a cost of $25,500. The mileage on the bus is 22,500 and it is in great shape (per our mechanic s review)! We have purchased a license plate and insurance and it is almost ready to roll. We are continuing to discuss plans for the bus including lettering, a usage policy and list of drivers etc... that will be submitted to the church Transportation Committee for review. If you have an up-to-date Commercial Driver s License (CDL) and would be interested in being on the list of possible drivers or interested in obtaining your CDL, please let the bus committee or church office know. Thanks. The Bus Committee WE WOULD REALLY LIKE MORE VOLUNTEERS FOR OUR NURSERY!
