SUNDAY OF PENTECOST SPECIAL HYMN: (Please Kneel) Heavenly King, Advocate, Spirit of Truth, Who are everywhere present and fill all things. Treasury of Blessings, Bestower of Life, come and dwell within us, cleanse us of all that defiles us, and O Good One, save our souls. FIRST ANTIPHON: The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims His handiworks. Through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Saviour, save us. Day pours out the word to day, and night to night imparts knowledge. Through the prayers... Through all the earth their voice resounds and to the ends of the world, their message. Through the prayers... Glory be to the Father,... now and forever. Amen. Only Begotten Son... THIRD ANTIPHON: O Lord, in Your strength the king is glad; in Your victory how greatly he rejoices. (Tropar - Tone 8): Blessed are You, O Christ our God. You filled the fishermen with wisdom, sending down upon them the Holy Spirit. Through them You have caught the whole world in Your net. O Lover of Mankind, glory be to You. You have granted him his heart s desire; You refused not the wish of his lips. Blessed are You... For You welcomed him with godly blessings, You placed on his head a crown of pure gold. Blessed are You... LITTLE ENTRANCE: Be extolled, O Lord in Your strength! We will sing, chant the praise of Your might. Blessed are You... Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever and ever, Amen. KONDAK (Tone 8): When the Most High descended and confused tongues, He scattered the people; but when He distributed the tongues of fire, He called all to unity. Therefore, with one voice, let us praise the Most Holy Spirit. INSTEAD OF Holy God... : All you who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Alleluia! PROKIMEN (Tone 8): Through all the earth their voice resounds, and to the ends of the world, their message. VERSE: The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims His handiwork.
