My Brother, From the East One of Webster's definition for a lodge is the meeting place of a branch of certain fraternal organizations. As far as I'm concerned that is a small part of the meaning. It couldn't of been more evident then what I have witnessed this past week. Last night we had our first fundraiser since I became worshipful master. We spent the week collecting the food, setting up the dinning hall, passing out flyers and most of the day Saturday having the event. I couldn't of been more proud of my brothers. The way and manner in which they worked together to make for a smooth evening was outstanding. You see, as masons we all have something to give for the common cause. Whether it be selling tickets, setting tables, cooking, serving or dish washing afterwards. It is where the individual puts his self pride aside and does what is needed for the good of the lodge. The lodge is not a place, it is the people that come together, combine their strengths and unify themselves for the one common good to make the world a better place. When was the last time you came out to be part of the lodge? To experience the brotherhood? To make a difference in the world? Remember we are the lodge. If you have difficulty getting here my phone number is on the back of this trestle board or if it's impossible for you to get here we will make arrangements to come and see you. Remember we are your brothers.
