Day Saturday, April 1 Prayer Today pray for staff member Sarah DePriest, her husband Tim, and all their family members. Tim s mother, Joan died last week and her funeral is today. Ask God to grant them comfort and peace as they mourn Joan s death. Thank God for the promise of eternal life for all who believe in Him. 1713 Nicaragua Evangelism Outreach & Church Painting Team Leader: Kevin Gambill Sunday, April 2 Today staff member Sarah DePriest will be speaking at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Colon, Michigan and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Centreville, Michigan. Both churches who have been supportive of MOST Ministries have chosen MOST Ministries as their Mission of the Month. They have collected eyeglasses, made witness bracelets, and have had several people go out on our teams. Give thanks for these congregations and for their support of MOST Ministries. Today is Team Leader Cheri Dennis birthday. Give thanks for the many ways that she blesses MOST and ask God to give her a wonderful day today. Monday, April 3 Last Saturday Team 1713 returned home from Nicaragua. Pray that all team members were blessed during the trip. Pray also that God would continue working in the hearts of His people in Nicaragua who had not heard the Gospel message until last week. Prayers for the Persecuted Church: Today we pray that God would provide the individuals being persecuted for their faith the words needed so they can fearlessly make Christ known. Here Paul tells how to pray for him when he was suffering for Christ in jail - notice his prayer was not for release. "Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so

that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should." (Ephesians 6:19-20) "Devote yourselves to prayer... praying at the same time for us as well, that God may open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned, in order that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak." (Colossians 4:2-4) Tuesday, April 4 Thank God today for all the regular volunteers who come into our office, but specifically for the group from St. Michael Lutheran Church in Wayne, MI who will be serving today. Ask God to bless them and all the work they will accomplish today. Wednesday, April 5 Ask God to bless Team 1728 which is currently serving in Mexico. This is a team of several firsts. Elvira Viramntes is a new mission person with Ysleta Lutheran Mission in El Paso, TX who will be working closely with our team. Kelly Bone is on her first Team Leader Training trip, and several team members are on their first mission trip with MOST Ministries. This team is made up of people from the following Michigan churches: Christ the King-Southgate, St. Paul-Hamburg, St. Michael-Wayne, Messiah-Grand Rapids, St. Peter-Richmond, Shepherd of the Lakes-Brighton, and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairview, Kansas. Pray that God would make the many "firsts" a wonderful experience and that through the team many will hear the promise of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Thursday, April 6 We know God is present in all the details of our lives. Next week the MOST Ministries' office will be getting a new printer/copier. Ask God to be in the tiniest of details during that transition. The last time we changed over to a new

machine, it took several weeks to work out the kinks and finally get the printer to recognize all our computers. Pray that this is a smooth transition, and that all the staff will adjust with ease to this new addition to the office. Friday, April 7 Executive Director Tim Frusti recently completed a three-day workshop focused on planned giving hosted by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Foundation. This program was designed to assist the participants on how to educate people on how their life-time assets can continue to be a blessing after they are called home. Thank God for the valuable information that was provided to MOST Ministries and all the other organizations in attendance. Pray that God will lead His people to dedicate a portion of their estates to assist future generations in carrying out the Great Commission. Saturday, April 8 Today the members of Team 1707 which will be providing eyeglass and dental clinics in Nicaragua will be meeting. Ask God to be present during the meeting and that this time will prepare the members for their upcoming mission field service. Sunday, April 9 Monday, April 10 Gayle Sommerfeld s new book Beyond Sight is a wonderful telling of the ways God used her passion for sharing the Gospel to create and build up MOST Ministries. Gayle will discuss her book and sign copies at a special event at our Ann Arbor office on Saturday, April 22. Pray that God blesses the preparations for this event, so that all who come will be inspired to joyfully pursue the paths God is creating specifically for them. MOST Ministries is working with Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison, Michigan who is planning to sponsor a water walk this summer designed to raise funds in

support of the clean water needs in Uganda. Please pray for their efforts which are currently in the planning stages. Tuesday, April 11 Give thanks for the volunteers from Christ the King Lutheran Church in Southgate, Michigan who will be serving in the MOST Ministries office today. Ask God to bless them as they drive to and from the Ann Arbor office. Prayers for the Persecuted Church: Today we pray that those being persecuted for their faith would see God's grace as sufficient and that God's power perfected in their weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Many of the pastors, evangelists and workers who are beaten and imprisoned for their bold witness leave behind sons, daughters and spouses to fend for themselves. Pray for the wives of those imprisoned. With the absence of their husband, the responsibility for caring and feeding of the family falls on the wife. Sometimes the wife is also forced to provide for her husband in prison (often the case in Vietnam.) If she is also arrested, then together they have to bear the anguish of leaving their children to fend for themselves. Please pray for them. Wednesday, April 12 Thursday, April 13 Friday, April 14 Ask God to be present today in the MOST Ministries' monthly staff meeting. Thank God that the staff can take a few hours away from their desks to gather and talk about how things are going and how they can continue to strengthen the ministry to the glory of God. Today is Team Leader Cindy Pine's birthday. Pray for God to bless her and thank God for the many lives she has touched by leading mission teams around the world. Today we give thanks for Team 1717 which served last month in Guatemala. During their trip 581 people were provided medical care. We thank God that these people were able to be seen and that during their visit they were also given the opportunity to hear the Gospel message. Saturday, April 15 We are headed into the time of year when most of our teams will be traveling. Please ask God to be with the MOST Ministries' staff members who have direct contact with the team members. Pray for Debby Suchyta as she administrates each team and the many steps necessary to do that. Pray for Lynn Wrightson as she works with the volunteers to prepare the eyeglasses and other materials needed on the mission field. Pray for Greg Suchyta as he packs all the team member bags and maintains the supply room. Pray for Patti Monroe as she tracks all the necessary paperwork for each team member to successfully leave the country. Pray for Kelly Bone as she receives and tracks all the team member payments and processes all the other finances for the teams. Pray for Linda

Thompson, Sarah DePriest, Jeanne Mantey and Tim Frusti as they focus on their areas of the ministry. Sunday, April 16 Monday, April 17 He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed, Alleluia! Thank God today for the gift of His Son Jesus Christ and for the forgiveness of sins given through His life, death and resurrection. Ask God to continue using MOST Ministries to share that story with a world waiting to hear the Good News. Pray that we will be able to continue telling the story through our mission teams for years and years to come. Today pray for Gordon Moody. Gordon works at Educational Opportunities and handles all our travel arrangements. This spring is already proving to be a difficult time to get flights for the many people who will be traveling on our mission trips. Ask God to bless Gordon as he works to secure flights for our teams. Thank God for the mission department at Educational Opportunities and for all the work they do.
