Greeting from Fr Bryan Cunningham July 2018 Dear Schoenstatt Family and Friends, The month of the Sacred heart has brought us good weather and a chance to deepen our love for the Jesus who gave all there is to give for our sake. In our Covenant Mass we celebrated our Covenant of Love with Jesus who loved us first and teaches us how to love God in serving our neighbour. In our MTA Magazine for June we read the moving account from Brian Stocks written by his dad. It is a great loss for Louise and Brian and Paul and for the Schoenstatt Family and so many of wee Brian s friends. We also had the burial of the ashes of Paul Barnes and celebrated his life with the Barnes family, with Clare and the girls Paul s life with many of the Schoenstatt family. Many remarked that we had the atmosphere we have during family week. Who could forget Sheil s presentation of Paul s gift to her for her birthday. We pray for Brian and Paul and for their families who grieve their loss. In the coming weeks we look forward to preparing for the World Meeting of Families in Dublin and join with our Holy Father Pope Francis in praying that the proclamation of the Gospel go the Family should be a transforming joy for our world which gives us hope in the future. We also look forward to the Celebration of the 50th Jubilee of the Celebration of the First Holy Mass in St John Fisher s Church. The first Mass was celebrated on Sunday 13th September 1968 and we will celebrate the weekend remembering this great occasion. Our women s group want to find ways to encourage people to take part in our daily adoration in the Shrine and you are invited to take part in the Eucharistic Congress on the weekend of the 8th and 9th September in Liverpool. We have Taste and See Family Mass at 3.30pm on Sunday, 7th July and look forward to seeing you. A report of the Into my Vineyard from Thursday 21 st June is available online. The next quarterly MTA Magazine will be published for the Covenant Mass on the 18th September 2018. United in Christ and his Blessed Mother, Fr. Year of Fr. Kentenich July Meditation with Fr Josef Kentenich Mother Mary, In your life we see that it is worth trusting God completely! In you we find the strength to unite our lives with Him and one another. Our covenant with you encourages us to give our all: My Queen, my Mother, I give myself entirely to you, And to show my devotion to you, I consecrate to you this day My eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, My entire self without reserve. As I am your own, my good Mother, Guard me and defend me As your property and possession. Amen. This letter from the Schoenstatt Movement is prepared by our editing team, Avril de Mink and Juan Ignacio Melecio in association with the editor of our quarterly magazine MTA, Patty Ganley and many contributors.)
