Some of the needs are 20-30 minutes once or twice a year. Some needs are seasonal or on a weekly or monthly basis. No one will be pressured to do anything they are not comfortable doing, or pressured to give more time than they desire. Please consider adding your name to the volunteer list. Mercy Bazaar. The Sisters of Mercy are holding their annual Mercy Bazaar on Saturday, October 28, 9:00 AM. - 2:00 PM The bazaar features home grown/canned goods of many varieties, fudge, and new or gently used items including books, toys, knit goods, household items, decorations and much more. The Diocese of Burlington is publishing a revised 2017 edition of the Policies on Ethics and Integrity in Ministry, which comes out of the Office of Safe Environment Programs. These policies outline the standards that Church personnel (as defined in the policy) must follow to comply with diocesan child safety guidelines relating to child abuse training, background checks, reporting procedures, and more. This policy revision also includes updated versions of the two Codes of Conduct. These new policies and Codes of Conduct are incorporated into all Safe and Sacred training courses. PRAYER FOR PEACE Lord, we pray for the power to be gentle; the strength to be forgiving; the patience to be understanding; and the endurance to accept the consequences of holding to what we believe to be right. May we put our trust in the power of good to overcome evil and the power of love to overcome hatred. We pray for the vision to see and the faith to believe in a world emancipated from violence, a new world where fear shall no longer lead men to commit injustice, nor selfishness make them bring suffering to others. Help us to devote our whole life and thought and energy to the task of making peace, praying always for the inspiration and the power to fulfill the destiny for which we and all men were created.
