Our District Master Sean Connelly presented the Civic Award 2015-2016 to our Assembly. Several Knights and
Guests were present totaling 82 people in attendance. WCCC SK Bill Schell received the "For God and Country" Award Medal for his service, while PFN Sir Joe Mitri received the Knight of the Year for leadership efforts and participation in Assembly events. 4/29 Donation Presentation: The rebate received from Dine & Donate at PJ Whelihans, outside donations, and Testimonial Honoree Charity donation generated a combined donation for $1000 to Operating Base Cecilia and homeless veterans. Operation Mgr Geoff Hurnyak was present to receive the donation. Nice job to All, thank you. 4/29 Homeless Veterans Program Booklet for the Patriot Award was presented to District Master for entry into competition. CURRENT EVENTS 5/06: Two First Communions were scheduled for Saints Simon & Jude Parish, West Chester, PA at 10:00 am & 1:00 pm. A Color Corps Full Regalia Celebration, led by our Worthy Color Corps Commander SK Bill Schell, was conducted. 5/10: VA Beef & Bingo is scheduled for 10:30am at Schuyler Hall for our Coatesville VA Medical Center Residents. Registration at 12 pm, Exemplification commences 1 pm. SK George Koch has been designated the Honoree for the King of Prussia Degree. He has been a very active member from the Delaware Valley. George has held all the top positions, Grand Knight, District Deputy, Navigator, Master and State Deputy. He has also held many other positions on the local, area and state levels. It is a privilege to honor George and I hope all join in recognizing him for his many years of service to the Knights of Columbus. 6/25: Bicycle ride to benefit the Cure for Cancer is scheduled, on Sunday, June 25th for Monsignor Schuyler Council. Chester County Assembly is one of the sponsors for this event. There is still a lot of speculation and discussion regarding a potential change in the Fourth Degree "uniform/regalia". There is no definite decision or timeframe for this change. Until official notice from Supreme is received, the official "uniform/regalia" for the Color Corps remains the same as currently in place. For a Fourth Degree member the official dress remains a black tuxedo, white pleated shirt(flat collar), black bowtie, black cummerbund, black shoes, social baldric and PG-113 label pin(and only the PG-113).
