God is the Missionary Seeking the Lost (Luke 1:26-35). Waiting for the Son. By Joel Hammen. Nazareth had about 1600-2000 people arround the time of Christ. It was said: nothing good can come out of Nazareth, John 1:46.

Luke 1:26-35 NIV [26] In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, [27] to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. [28] The angel went to her and said, Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you. [29] Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. [30] But the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. [31] You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. [32] He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, [33] and he will reign over Jacob's descendants forever; his kingdom will never end. [34] How will this be, Mary asked the angel, since I am a virgin? [35] The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called b the Son of God.

Genesis 3:9,15,21 NIV [9] But the Lord God called to the man, Where are you? [15] And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel. [21] The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. The whole Bible is about: God is the Missionary seeking the Lost.

Luke 1:26-35 NIV [26] In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, [27] to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. [31] You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. [32] He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

Possibly the First Mention of The Trinity in the New Testament. It is God who is seeking a relationship with the Lost. It is Jesus who is restoring a relationship with the Lost. It is the Holy Spirit birthing a relationship so the Lost can be saved. God is the Missionary seeking the Lost. God uses the Trinity to bring about our Salvation.

It is God who is seeking a relationship with the Lost. Luke 1:26-30 NIV [26] In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, [27] to a virgin ledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. Above: Outside of the Church of Annunciation. Nazareth.

Isaiah 7:14 NIV [14] Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. (Meaning God With Us). Romans 5:12 NIV [12] Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned--- 2 Corinthians 11:3 NIV [3] But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 1 Timothy 2:13-14 NIV [13] For Adam was formed first, then Eve. [14] And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.

Summary of: it is God who is seeking a relationship with the Lost. Why did God send Gabriel to Mary? Why were Joseph and Mary pledged to be married? Why was Mary a descendant of David? Why was Mary highly favoured? Why was Mary a Virgin? It is about God being the missionary seeking the lost. God bringing about His salvation plan to a lost and dying world. The role of God the Father in the trinity is: John 6:44 NIV [44] No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.

It is Jesus who is restoring a relationship with the Lost. Luke 1:31-33 NIV [31] You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. [32] He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, [33] and he will reign over Jacob's descendants forever; his kingdom will never end. Matthew 1:21 NIV [21] She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.

Summary of: It is Jesus who is restoring a relationship with the Lost. Why was His name called Jesus? Why was Jesus The Son of The Most High? Why was Jesus a descendant of the house of Jacob Forever? It is Jesus who restores or reconciles the relationship between God and Man.

The role of God the Son, Jesus in the trinity is: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 NIV [17] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! [18] All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: [19] that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. [20] We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. [21] God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

It is the Holy Spirit birthing a relationship so the Lost can be saved. [34] How will this be, Mary asked the angel, since I am a virgin? [35] The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Under the church of Annunciation, Nazareth, there is a cave devoted to the House where Mary grew up.

Summary of: It is the Holy Spirit birthing a relationship so the Lost can be saved Why did the Holy Spirit come on Mary and rest on her with Power? John 3:3,7-8 NIV [3] Jesus replied, Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. [7] You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' [8] The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

The Role of God the Father is to draw/seek a relationship (John 6:44). The Role of God the Son is to restore, reconcile the Relationship (2 Cor 5:17-21). The Role of God the Holy Spirit is to Birth us into Relationship (John 3:3, 7-8). Each role of the Trinity played their part in the Birth and conception of Christ with the Virgin Mary. Each role of the Trinity plays their part in calling a sinner to Salvation. The Trinity exists for our salvation. If we take out one part of the

The whole Bible exists because God wants a relationship with us. The Old Testament God uses Israel to restore relationship. The New Testament, Christ by His death burial and resurrection, Christ restores the relationship back with God and gives us His Holy Spirit. God uses the Trinity for the Virgin Mary to Conceive Jesus to Bring about our salvation to restore relationship. The Church that Jesus is building, exists to continue God s mission to the World. So the World can come into a relationship with Jesus Christ. In the world, God uses the Trinity to bring about our salvation. Father draws, Son restores and Holy Spirit births one into salvation.
