Sending Song: Your Love Is Everlasting (Chorus) Since time began, through centuries, God s love is everlasting. To distant unknown galaxies, God s love is everlasting. For the Splendor springs forth cross the land. God s love is everlasting. Abundance, sharing hand in hand, God s love is everlasting. Your love (your love) is lasting. Your love is everlasting. Your love (your love) is lasting. Your love is everlasting. A mother s womb, a brand new life, God s love is everlasting. An empty tomb, the risen Christ, God s love is everlasting. Weeping may last for the night, God s love is everlasting. But joy breaks forth with normal light, God s love is everlasting. Signs of hope, a voice of peace, God s love is everlasting. The prophet s cry for war to cease, God s love is everlasting. Down and out and high and proud, God s love is everlasting. Come all you people shout out loud, God s love is everlasting. PRAYER OF ADORATION AND PRAISE L: Yours is the glory, O God, for raising Jesus from the darkness of death. L: Yours is the glory, O Christ, for being prepared, through your sacrificial love, to conquer death and give us the gift of eternal life. L: And, as if that were not enough, you greet us by name, as you greeted Mary in the garden, and transform our lives forever with your Easter life. L: We pray that the Holy Spirit, your life in us, will so conform us to your image that we radiate your glory here, through our rejoicing and praise, and in all the places where people s lives are still affected by the powers of sin and death. L: Yours is the glory, risen Lord Jesus, and we rejoice that endless is the victory that you over death have won. C: Alleluia! Christ is risen! L: Christ is risen indeed! Amen Alleluia Hear creation groan for life. Will hate and hunger cease? In the roar of violence The world cries for peace. (Chorus) Let us praise Him, The King of Kings! He is risen, He is risen, He is risen, He is risen, He is risen, He is risen, He is risen, The King of Kings. Praise and thank Him, praise and thank Him praise and thank Him, Praise and thank Him, praise and thank Him, praise and thank Him. Praise and thank Him, The King of Kings. L) Hear, believe, and live the good news. In Jesus Christ we are forgiven! C: Thanks be to God! SONG AND CELEBRATION OF SYMBOLS THE SHROUD AND FRAGRANT OIL: L: This reminds us of the cloth in which they wrapped the body of Jesus. On Easter morning it was found empty, lying in the tomb where Christ s body had been placed. This fragrance reminds us that very early on Easter Day some women came to the tomb to prepare Jesus body for proper burial. The women were the first to hear of Jesus resurrection. Alleluia! Christ is risen! We have life in Him, we have life in Him, we have life in Him, We have life in Him, we have life in Him, we have life in Him, We have life in The King of Kings! Let us praise Him, The King of Kings! Communion Blessing: The body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ strengthen you and keep you in His grace. Benediction: May God, the creator of all life, Jesus Christ, the giver of eternal life, and the Holy Spirit, the power in each and every life, bless each one of us, this day and every day. 3 10

Offering Song Crown Him With Many Crowns ELW #855 Offering Prayer: (all) Loving God, we thank you for this Easter Day - with its promise of new life, and new opportunities. Use us, and our gifts, to love and to serve you, and to witness to Christ whom you have raised, and in whose name we pray. Amen Words of Institution The Lord s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, And the glory, forever and ever. Amen. Distribution Songs Round The Table Come together round the table. Come and taste the wonder, A healing touch and a deep connection From the living center of it all. THE CROSS AND THE STONE: L: The cross you see is an empty cross. Jesus is not dead. He is risen. This stone reminds us that on the resurrection morning, the stone which sealed the tomb was rolled away. Alleluia! Christ is risen! THE BREAD AND WINE: L: This bread reminds us that on the first Easter evening, Jesus walked and talked with two of his followers on the road to Emmaus. It was not until he broke bread with them that they recognized who he was. This wine, representing Christ s blood, helps us to remember that Jesus died for us. Alleluia! Christ is risen! Seeking meaning on the run You try and save the day. But all is ready will you come? Love invites the way. (Chorus) Bring a friend or enemy Or one you hold or blame. With each other we are one, Here in Jesus name. (Chorus) (continued on next page) 9 4

THE CANDLE: L:This candle reminds us that Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Alleluia! Christ is risen! Children s Message Song: He Has Been Raised Shivon Miller Lost and frightened, feeling sadness, someone you loved has gone away. Seeking answers, finding questions. Could it be true what the people say? He has been raised. He is not here. Can you believe your ears? We are struggling, we are wondering, can we walk the streets of faith? We are loved and we re forgiven. Why don t we trust in these arms of grace? He has been raised He is not here. Can you believe your ears? Our mourning and weeping has turned to rejoicing The stones from our tombs have been rolled away. Life has come from death today now! He has been raised. He is not here. Can you believe your ears? Scripture Reading: Acts 10: 34-43 Peter's sermon, delivered at the home of Cornelius, a Roman army officer, sums up the essential message of Christianity. Everyone who believes in Jesus, whose life, death, and resurrection fulfilled the words of the prophets, receives forgiveness of sins through his name. Sermon: You Just Might Believe It Pastor Jerome Evavold Song: When The Morning Comes When the morning comes, it will be a brand new day. No more fears, no more tears, your blues are wiped away. When the morning comes, we ll be raised to live again. Life is new for me and you, when the morning comes. Wake up our Lord will say on that glorious day Wake up it s time to rise again He ll call you by name cause you he has claimed It s time to rise for the morning s come. (Chorus) What a time that will be for all the world to see The Lord will reign forevermore. A new heaven a new earth we ll receive another birth. What a glorious day when the morning comes. (Chorus) Marciniak/ Evavold Confession of Faith Song I Believe John Ylvisaker I believe, I do believe, truly I believe it truly. I believe it truly I believe it. I believe, I do believe, truly I believe it truly. I believe it truly I believe it. I believe in God the almighty Lord Creator, Mighty Lord Creator, Mighty Lord Creator. I believe in God the almighty Lord Creator, Mighty Lord Creator, Mighty Lord Creator. (Chorus) I believe in Jesus the Savior of the people, Savior of the people, Savior of the people. I believe in Jesus the Savior of the people, Savior of the people, Savior of the people. (Chorus) 34 Then Peter began to speak to them: "I truly understand that God shows no partiality, 35 but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. 36 You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ he is Lord of all. 37 That message spread throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee 5 And I do believe in the power of the Spirit, Power of the Spirit, Power of the Spirit. And I do believe in the power of the Spirit, Power of the Spirit, Power of the Spirit. (Chorus) 8

Narrator: She said to them, Mary: They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him. Narrator: 14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, Jesus: Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for? Narrator: Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, Mary: Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away. Narrator: 16 Jesus said to her, Jesus: Mary! Narrator: She turned and said to him in Hebrew, Mary: Rabbouni! Narrator: (which means Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, Jesus: Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. Narrator: 18 Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, Mary: I have seen the Lord ; Narrator: and she told them that he had said these things to her. after the baptism that John announced: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. 39 We are witnesses to all that he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree; 40 but God raised him on the third day and allowed him to appear, 41 not to all the people but to us who were chosen by God as witnesses, and who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one ordained by God as judge of the living and the dead. 43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." Gospel Reading: John 20:1-18 Narrator: Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. 2 So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, Mary: They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him. Narrator: 3 Then Peter and the other disciple set out and went toward the tomb. 4 The two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 He bent down to look in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb. He saw the linen wrappings lying there, 7 and the cloth that had been on Jesus head, not lying with the linen wrappings but rolled up in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; 9 for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead. 10 Then the disciples returned to their homes. 11 But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb; 12 and she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had been lying, one at the head and the other at the feet. 13 They said to her, Angel: Woman, why are you weeping? 7 6
