Mayo STANDING (IF ABLE) God calls us to worship from Psalm 95:1-7 Oh come, let us sing to Lord; let us make a joyful noise to rock of our salva6on! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are depths of earth; heights of mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; For he is our God, and we are people of his pasture, and sheep of his hand. We praise God Praise to Lord, Almighty Hymnal #8 Text: Joachim Neander translated by Carine Winkworth Tune: Stralsund Gesangbuch 1665 page 1 Songs of worship are used with permission. CCLI #100150
We pray for God to help us worship Pastor: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! He died for us that we might live for him. We greet one anor with peace of Christ SEATED God calls us to confess our sin from Isaiah 30:15, 18 For thus says Lord God, Holy One of Israel, In repentance and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength. The Lord waits to be gracious to you, and refore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For Lord is a God of jus]ce; blessed are all who wait for him. We confess our sin O God, our help, you are rock in whom we find refuge, shield and fortress who protects and delivers us. But when we feel lonely and weak, we oben seek help and hope in everything but you. Our distress fills us with doubt, and we turn away from your presence and your comfort. We seek refuge from our pain and fear in endless entertainment that distracts us, in addic6ons that comfort us, or in anger that hardens us. Lord, have mercy on us. (silent prayers of confession) Sovereign Lord, tower of refuge and strength, please forgive us for ignoring you and running from you. Draw us near by Spirit of your Son, to cry out to you and to dwell with you in our need, so that we can find refuge in your presence, deliverance by your power, and fullness of joy in your presence forevermore. page 2
STANDING (IF ABLE) God declares our forgiveness from Romans 8:31 32; 2 Peter 1:3 If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? God s divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence. For all who have turned from sin in sorrow and look to God for mercy, this is God s gi`. In Jesus Christ, God loves you, God forgives you, God accepts you, and God rejoices over you as beloved daughters and sons. Hallelujah, Amen!
