Sandi Stovall *GREETING: Leader: This is the day we celebrate the call of motherhood as a ministry of commitment to God and to God s people. People: Thank you, gracious God, maker and model of motherhood, for ordaninig this relationship. Leader: We honor those mothers, living and dead, who have loved the children of the world. People: We praise you, most loving God, for this observance and for those we honor. Let us adore and respect mothers worldwide. Leader: Let not the hearts of mothers be troubled. Divine Creator, teach us to be mothers who love, but not to love so much that we lose all balance and perspective in dealing with our families. People: Lord God, your graciousness is merciful. SERMON NOTES SCRIPTURE: Subject: Key points/outline of main thought of message. What did God say specifically to me during the sermon? Is there anything that God would have me do? A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.... She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31:10-12 and 25-31 (NIV) 4 9
