SUMMIT CONFERENCE PASTORS PACKET An extended Life Action event that walks believers down a pathway toward personal and family renewal so they can take kingdom action for Christ

We focus on improving the health of the church by calling believers to a deeper walk with Jesus Christ, introducing revival principles to the whole family. Summits create an environment for God to work in unique, powerful ways among your congregation. Summits typically come in two formats, although other formatting options are available: 8-day (Sunday through Sunday) 15-day (Sunday through two more Sundays) Such a concentrated and extended approach to ministry is surprisingly appealing to today s churchgoer. In fact, these events often become a significant mile marker in the lives of churches and individuals when commitments are made, marriages are restored, family relationships are rebuilt, trust is regained, sin is forsaken, and vision is recaptured. While we can t produce revival (that is God s work!), we believe, based on biblical and historical examples, that it s valuable to set aside a special time in our schedules to pursue Him, to pray for revival, and to come to a place of fresh obedience. We focus on improving the health of the church by calling believers to a deeper walk with Jesus Christ, introducing revival principles to the whole family. Summits begin with a clear explanation of what seeking God for revival means, and how the first step toward God is humbly admitting our need for His mercy, help, and power. Lord, please send revival, and let Your work begin in me! Next, our revival speakers, musicians, youth and children s ministers, and support staff will partner with your church family to seek the Lord. The preaching at a Summit is thoroughly Bible-centered, helping congregations respond to God s Word in repentance, obedience, faith, and prayer. We spend a significant amount of time helping your church apply these principles where they count most in their own hearts, in their own homes, and as they go forth to be a light to the world.

Service Format In an 8-day Summit, we plan to conduct services Sunday morning, Sunday through Thursday evenings, Saturday morning (seminar format), and then Sunday morning and evening. In the 15-day option, services extend into the second week, concluding the third Sunday evening. experience this powerful time. No one is left out... from children and young adults to newlyweds and grandparents. Imagine how God could change your church when every person is experiencing the power of the same theme presented in ageappropriate ways! The Summit provides children, youth, and adult programs so that your entire church can Sunday Morning Service We will begin with your regular worship service schedule. Adults and teens start in the worship center, and after a time of corporate worship, the teens will be dismissed to a separate location with our youth leader. The team revivalist will follow with a time of prayer and the message. Typically, the children s services will be held entirely in their separate locations led by our team members. Sunday Evening and Weeknight Services Our Team Director will contact you ahead of the event to verify pertinent details that may be specific to your situation. Generally, children and teens begin in their respective, age-appropriate areas, while adults hear a segment of teaching on home/family relationships. Then, children and teens join their parents for a time of corporate worship and prayer. During the second segment of the evening, children are dismissed back to their clubs, while adults and teens remain in the main session.

For the Whole Church HAPPY HEART CITY (4 years old 1st grade) Children will be welcomed to a city where teachers and various characters will reinforce the foundational theme that Obedience Is the Key. In addition to interactive drama, the children will enjoy creative lessons, crafts, songs, and activities. BASE CAMP (2nd 5th/6th grades) Upon entrance, children will embark on a unique experience as climbers training to pursue the ultimate adventure of knowing and loving God. Foundational character principles and Scripture will be presented through music, drama, interactive lessons, and activities. STUDENTS (6th/7th 12th grades) These specialized sessions that complement the main sessions will help your youth think about how Jesus teachings apply to their daily lives. Our passion is to see teens awaken and start a movement that will change the course of this world for God s glory. Details Pastoral Involvement As the pastor, you will have complete freedom to address your congregation at any time God leads you to do so. Additionally, opportunity will be provided in each service for you to welcome the people, give announcements, lead in prayer, or anything else you feel is appropriate. Staff Meetings We request meetings with your staff and leadership team (deacons, etc.) during the Summit. Our Team Director can work with you to determine the best times and details for these meetings. We aim to provide value to your church staff and leaders, and also to engage them in personally responding to the Lord, together. Preparations and Logistics Life Action s scheduling team will help you prepare to meet the practical needs of this event, and also to be spiritually prepared. Life Action asks the church to provide housing for all team members (beginning the Friday before the Summit and concluding the Friday after the Summit finishes), meals for the team, vehicles for ministry use, hookups for team leadership travel trailers, and childcare for nursery-age children during the services.

Financial Considerations Life Action has a long history of effectively modeling and teaching truths about giving. A natural overflow of revival is increased investment in kingdom advancement, including talents, time, and treasure. We do not pass offering plates during our services, but we do provide opportunity for individuals to invest in revival and awakening by way of a Love Gift Box located near the worship center. Churches often experience increased giving after the conference because of the deeper level of heart surrender and practical teaching that has occurred. We believe that: It is our responsibility, as God leads, to inform God s people of our needs. It is God s responsibility to prompt believers to give. It is the responsibility of God s people to respond in obedience to His prompting and to develop a lifestyle of Christlike, scriptural giving. Conference Expenses A non-refundable fee of $4,000 is due after the Summit is confirmed for your church. Half is to be sent in with a signed agreement, and the other half is due eight weeks before the team arrives. Conference Love Gifts Life Action team members raise their own personal support and do not receive the offerings given through the Love Gift Box. All funds received go toward offsetting the team s operating expenses. There is no minimum amount you are required to guarantee us in the love offering. We trust God to meet the balance of our travel and operating expenses through the gifts of His people.

Summit Content Each Life Action Summit is designed with the whole church in mind; our desire is to communicate clearly and biblically regarding personal and corporate spiritual transformation. Throughout our material on both Christian living and family relationships, we will call people to respond to God in: HUMILITY. Recognizing our need for God, laying aside our pride, and declaring dependence on Christ is the first step toward experiencing spiritual change. HONESTY. Life Action will help walk your church through the difficult, biblical process of identifying and confessing sin, putting off the old to put on the new. REPENTANCE. We help believers turn from sin and toward the kind of life Jesus died to provide. We strive to make this teaching practical and actionable, utilizing personal spiritual health assessments, times of prayer, and step-by-step guidance toward biblical living. FORGIVENESS. Getting right with God is only part of the equation; we also teach that relationships with others must be made right, and we walk churches through teaching regarding forgiveness, restitution, family restoration, and more. OBEDIENCE. Our vision is to help believers live a new kind of life so they can impact the world for Christ. We will share messages regarding prayer, grace, generosity, and practical obedience principles in every aspect of life. SEEKING HIS KINGDOM FIRST. Our prayer is that, at the end of the Summit, believers will have a fresh vision for God s priorities personally, in their families, in the church, and toward the completion of the Great Commission. Our Commitment to You We promote the Lord Jesus Christ, not Life Action Ministries. We serve and support local churches. We focus on people, not numbers. We do not attempt to manipulate or manufacture revival. We conduct substantive, Bible-centered events. We seek what the Holy Spirit can do, not what man can produce. We cultivate an atmosphere for obedience, not emotionalism. We focus more on inward change than outward response. We pray fervently alongside you for revival and spiritual awakening. We seek the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom.

Life Action s Mission and History Life Action Ministries is a non-profit organization, founded in 1971. Since that time, we have had the opportunity to minister to millions of Americans through local church events, nationally syndicated radio programs, family camps, marriage and pastors retreats, publications, and more. Over 200 full-time staff members serve with one common goal, and that is to ignite movements of authentic Christianity. Life Action s approach is to share God s revivaloriented principles in meaningful ways, helping congregations apply these truths to their daily lives. We have been privileged to see the Lord use our teams to bring about permanent, life-changing commitments in the hearts and lives of His people. Life Action s vision is to see the Great Commission fulfilled in our time, to the glory of God. We believe the key to reaching the world isn t simply a matter of strategy or methodology; rather, it requires the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. When churches are alive in the power of God, the light turns on, and the world takes notice! Transformation begins when we bow before the Lord and say, Please send revival to this place, and let it begin in me. It begins when we set aside other priorities so we can seek God s face together. We draw near to God based on the scriptural promise that He will then draw near to us (James 4:6-10). A Life Action event is not a mountaintop spiritual experience for a congregation; it is a launch pad that, prayerfully, will ignite your church to complete God s mission in your community and across the world.
