MARD Who is the Mard? What is the definition of the mard in the mail dominating society? A man who has heavy voice, dark beard, tall, dark and handsome with six pack abs is called mard? Isn t it? I tell you one tragic news the worst has happened in our capital, an eight years old baby has been brutally raped and is battling for her life in a hospital, the mard who raped the innocent child is still called a mard? The karni sena s one member who one side talk about the dignity of Rani Padmavati and another side gave threat of chopping the head of Deepika Padukone is called mard? During the Navartri the so called Mard do worship of Nine Goddess of Maa Durga and the rest of the days Mard show their hypocrisy and many women become the victim of Domestic violence, acid attacks, eve teasing, we still not forget the NIRBAHAYA KAND. The definition of a Mard which is given by bollywood film director and actor Farhan Akhtar MEN AGAINST RAPE AND DISCRIMINATION. It doesn t matter he is handsome or not,or have dark beard or clean shave, or muscular body or family pack body but if he stand for a women without any mask of decency, who take women as a responsibility not as an opportunity to satisfy the lust who is the gentleman is called MARD. In Sanskrit there is one shlok When women are honored divinity blossoms there, and where ever women are dishonored, all action no matter how noble it may be,remains unfruitful. -NAGENDRA SINGH RAO, IIMS

"THE FATHERHOOD" So adorable she is, So protective I am. Loving daughter she is, Possessive father I am. Her eyes are profound, Mine are wary. Her smile is incredible, Mine, is hesitant. Her heart is pacific, Mine, concerned. Her presence is desirable, For which i crave more. But soon she will find a man, Soon her priority may change, Yet my love for her, Will remain the same. Loving daughter she is, Possessive father I am. -PRIYANKA POOJA SAKUNIA

LIFE AFTER DEATH What do we have after death, Do we really have an after life, A life with no pain and easy to survive Does it leads to happiness and abolishing hate, How does it feel to be in an after life? Does it give you everything that you thrive, Does it hold your hand and make you believe Can it hold you down and not let you leave, Is there a world so bright even after death Does the sun rise their again after it sets Does it not bring tears and cushion u to sleep Does it protects you from darkness into the deep If there really exist a world so colorful A life with happiness and no set of rules Please take me there and make me free Let me bloosm again like an autumn tree -ABHILASH PAUL, IIMS

ANSWER ME As I stopped passing through the streets where you lived. Your admirers sitting on the stairwell, finally rejoiced. But there are a few question I d like to ask.. Does the warmth of his breath make your heart skip a beat, like mine did. Do you still hide the blanket on cold nights to give him excuse to embrace you. Answer me. Do you show him the pictures in which you still search for your childhood. Have you told him those tales which you had shared with me saying I haven t told this to anybody else. Answer me. Anyway forget it all, just answer this, Have you forgotten that night when I held you by your waist laid by head on your shoulder and whispered just one thing don t ever leave, to which you replied, Never. -AKARSHAN KHARE, IIMS

THE UNSEEN STAR My star! Could you please come back and stay a little while?... I want to see you through my blinky eyes and see you smile... I wish heaven have had a phone so that, I could call you often to check on you... But not to say how much I miss... But to discuss our late night gossips, hugs and your affectionately kisses can't reveal the pain of my heart... Can't stop the rolling droplets of my moistening eyes... Only you could have known me all the night... You became a shining star in the sky and left me alone... Boarded me on the ship but forgot to leave sailor inside... only to scream and cry... Our relationship is like two parallel lines of railway tracks which runs together always but never coincide... Still I want to wait for you all long my life... Ever though someday I will be someone's wife... Though I knows it's impossible to meet you again... I miss you more and remind the time when it rains... -MANASWINI BASANTIA, IIMS

LATE NIGHT To this moment i wait and glare I dropped my pen and lost my flare I wish to write again and do wonders with words I wish to fly again and be a free bird The feelings that intact are suppressed and strong I can't pen them down as i lack the rhythmic song I keep them safe locked in my heart Are these words really of any worth?? I left the flow and stopped my pen Because these words won't matter now and never did then. Standing into the chaos world wondering about Everyone has something deep inside they wish they could shout. -ABHILASH PAUL, IIMS

DARK SOUL I found suffocation in the fresh wind, I found curse in the prayers, I found gashes in the ointment, I found gloominess in happiness, I found darkness in the light, I found ominous in the omen, I found damnation in salvation, I found intoxication in sobriety, I found an individual summer in the winter, I found twilight in the dawn, I found betrayal in loyalty. But at the end of the day tomorrow sun will shine And life will go on -NAGENDRA SINGH RAO, IIMS

WHAT IS LIFE? Life has turned on me; I asked why me? Life is all about second chances; Says who? The one with the least grievances. Life is a selfish brat; Trap that lousy rat Life bothers about its living; Death is the art of giving. Life sucks it all; And plays with your next calls. Life knows your secrets and makes you modest; Everything you own and still make you saddest. Life gives you deep wound; Counts on whom? Life is all lie and fear is delusion; Who would love to go high and feel the illusion? Life punishes your dreadful deeds; Unleashes the wicked conscience and leads. -SIDDHANT AMBASTHA, IIMS

HARD WORK BEATS There is a saying that Talent has its own perk. Kevin Durant is the person behind this stupendous quote. Malcolm Gladwell in 2008 expounded that the relationship between success and IQ works only up to a point. Sometimes, an immense level of rational skills in a person can t be settled without the will of committing hard work. Some people think hard work and talent is the parallel segment of an abrupt triumph. Hard work does pay off, these lines are not just some irregular words, but it does deliberately correlate the relevance of Hard work beats talents. The work accomplished for the duration inside and out from the ground level eventually beats talent. The amount of dedication given to perform the hard work doesn t rectify or validate that one must have had to be born with genius genes from your forefathers. Talent is somewhat manipulated with hard work, the point is to substantiate that Talent always need a podium for visibility. To exhibit your talent, one needs to walk through the patches of several difficulties and riddled circumstances; countless sacrifices have to be made. The focus on your assertive goals apparently comes with a fair price. Ultimately, the whole scenario is counted as a matter of Hard work. Talent never gets you anywhere if you don t work for it. How can you beat a guy who will do whatever it takes to win? Being tricky is another plot, you can be smarter at one mark, but hard working with prudent talents is as same as Smart but lazy. The lazy ones are always on the cards of talented people; Lazy people have a myth to perform the task done in a shortcut way. Nowadays, the corporate promotes the lazy ones and have named there form as smart work. Those with genius abilities can be a hard worker too, but still be a limited version of the society. People who fathom their least talent are also a rare hard worker. The greatest snag about the hard work peoples is that they need to keep up their mode active all the time. They won t be the leader all the time but they know how to work from the ground level and can thoroughly figure out the situation from its root. The history has always been positive for the hard worker; they are always appreciated and honoured for their tremendous efficiencies of dedication, they are the ones whom we can trust and rely upon because the biggest element they achieve is the wisdom and also the vital experience which they perceived from their days of hard work. The only people who can win the battle for glories are the one who learns the value of hard work over the Talent. -SIDDHANT AMBASTHA, IIMS

WHY SHOULD WE COMMIT MISTAKES? It feels so surreal when we think about the failures of yesterday and the achievements of today. People often cite the stories of successful people with utmost excitement & determination. But how many of us will chose a path of toil & hardship to achieve our goals? Hardly a handful of people! So what s the big deal in committing mistakes? Why should we commit mistakes? It s all about learning the correct methods & conditioning our brain accordingly. When we commit a mistake an information gap occurs in our brain & we try our best to fill that gap with precise information so that it won t happen with us once again. That s how our sub-conscious mind records the correct form of a procedure & over time we gain upper hand in the specific task. At an young age, its completely fine for us to do mistakes but as we grow we should also learn from others mistake. People like Bill Gates often spend a third of their time in reading biographies of other people. This helps in knowing the mistakes done by other people in their path towards success. Students, who often read self help books, mirror the methods prescribed in the book sub-consciously by applying them to the problems in their daily life. The great inventor Thomas Alva Edison failed several times in his quest for inventing a sustainable electric bulb. Mistakes made his next approach more precise than the last one and now the electric bulb has become his legacyfor eternity! As the famous playwright George Bernard Shaw rightly quotes, a life spent making mistakes is not only more honourable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. - SATYAJEET OJHA, IIMS

EMPTY MIND IS DEVIL S WORKSHOP Perhaps only a few people can truly understand the correct definition of time my friend You know what you are the time, yes you heard me, you are the time. Why do you think god maked us, to do something or to just sit idle? Obviously not just to sit idle, we have to prove ourselves. Your existence should make noises that provides peace to others. To live the way you want you have to make yourself an unbreakable stone, because broken stone will always be a tile never a statue. Act is better than sitting idle. Your act may give you failure, but actually failures are uncompleted path created by you which could set examples for others, and make options shrink for others. - PALAK DIXIT, IIMHRD

"I REMEMBER" "Butterflies"-I remember vividly getting it, the very first time I saw her, which, was during our 11th grade, where although we belonged to different streams, I remember desperately waiting for those classes that we both had in common. I remember us being crazy in love & also remember her telling me as to how fortunate she was to have someone like me in her life. Well, she really was worthy of all my love & time. It was after our 3 years of relationship, I could sense that our fights & arguments began to grow intense. I suggested that we could take a break in our relation for about like 2 weeks, where she agreed. I swear it was the hardest 2 weeks of my life that I had to call her back and tell her that I needed her. So I called her and said that I need her & I couldn't take anymore sleepless nights and that was when she told that she is going abroad for her further studies. I could literally feel my heart sinking & I didn't want to send away something so precious to me. After she left, we texted, messaged & video called each other regularly, but I could feel the pangs of separation so intensely. The pain that I am describing isn't even half of what I could feel inside. It was like I gave a part of me away-the half of my heart. It felt like a huge lump in the throat that I couldn t swallow up. It was that agonising. The pain grew so much in me that I decided to move on. I couldn t wait anymore & I found a new love, although not like hers but at least it wasn't hurting anymore. I know that after she finds out, its going to hurt her, but I couldn t help it. Today wherever she is, all I ever want is her to be happy, whether its with me or without me, because I am always in love with her smile that I'll always remember... -RAJESH KUMAR GUPTA, IIMS

Song Lyrics Fool Before I know! I did things go wrong, When you were so touched by my song. See ya! Am carving for affection. Like the moon light, emitting in, emitting out Slow your footsteps are, leveraging my mind, show me red! You got reasons for teasing my brain up Then it s you messing with my brain again, Y am I so wrong to judge you, Why its killing me often. My soul is carving for the affection, Maybe I was d fool before Or it s me fool again It s now killing me again and again, Show up to me, u r my vervain. It s now killing me again and again I can feel the presence, its ur essence. Or its me fool again It s now killing me again and again, Show up to me, u r my vervain It can be so easy-y-y to kill me widur intoxicating eyes. I followed u down to the valley below There is such a peace, u killed it again. It s so sanity again, I heard u saying its obvious not. Come to me for now, I know my li-mi-ts now. U r not sharing it again, I know it now amd one to be punished so do it I can feel the presence, its ur essence. Or its me fool again It s now killing me again and again, Show up to me, u r my verva-in. I really don t know how stupid I can be-e-e at this moment, When u just begun to know me. U can call me honey. U should have known that, am spoilt brat with no money. How destitute I can be on the this surface It s nothing but the god s grace. I know my words harsh and strong U knows how did we go wrong. Though I need u, self-destructing ever Beauty u and its killing me now How can I resist showing up to u When there is no one so like u It s now killing me again and again, Show up to me, u r my verva-in. I can feel the presence, its ur essence. Maybe I was d fool before Or it s me fool again It s now killing me again and again, Show up to me, u r my verva-in. Or I am gonna do it myself, so fortu-nate it is. It s now killing me again and again, Show up to me, u r my verva-in. -SIDDHANT AMBASTHA, IIMS

Quotes And Opinions Insecure about your life, Countdown your minutes Else slow down a bit and, Be ready to be called as a winner Risk is a part of life. No risk, no gain; Back and forth don t mourn in pain The best seller of the books Can seek your thoughts and Heal your pain When you make a selfless move For the prosperity of humankind, The law of nature retains u from that moment Talent can become a curse, If u fail to charm peoples Sometimes loosing temper is The best attributes to relief Anxiety Whoever desires to be great Among u shall be your own servant -SIDDHANT AMBASTHA, IIMS

You are a better judge of your life Only when you understand and accept the change Be the change for yourself When you seem to fail It s only your inner motivation can help you out Everyone has shortcomings, It s just need to realize when, how and to what extent one can overcome it The beauty of life is when you have friends who is no less than a family It all lies on your choices to be with the ones or not It s a yes!!! And I don t regret no matter what others assume Fear is when you feel it Sometimes you need to suppress those feelings and constantly listen to your mind that you don t fear -SHINKI HORE, IIMS Music is my passion. Music to me like finding inner self, my soul I have given my heart to singing. When I sing, I can feel love around me. I have released my music album "Khoya hua pyar" with good response on youtube. I am a mass-y guy, so most times, I know whether a song will click or not If you give me a complicated idea, I will simplify it. - BHAVESH SHARMA, IIMS
