Wanting to connect here at Inglewood? Just curious about our life together? Our Community in Prayer Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39 What does it look like to love your neighbor as yourself and who is your neighbor? As we transition into fall lets set our hearts and minds to these questions in prayer. Jesus taught us to pray, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, so let us pray together as a community, let your will be done in my neighborhood. We d love to meet you! If you re newer to Inglewood Church, we invite you to either of these venues: Newcomers Lunch 7 We invite you to meet our pastor, leaders, and some other newcomers. We ll gather for an hour, with a simple lunch provided. You ll hear a brief snapshot of who we are, what God is doing here, and ways you can connect! Next Lunch: November 13th, after worship Where: IPC Choir Room Coffee with Pastor James 7 As a Portland native, he s glad to be back in the land of good coffee and always glad to grab a cup with someone. Email him at pastorkumin@ gmail.com to set something up at a time that works for you. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 7 Intergenerational Friendly for Kids & Adults Alike At IPC, we really value doing things together. Groups are encouraged to discuss the sermon, using conversation starter questions provided each week by Pastor James A congregational meeting will be called for Oct 2nd following worship for communication with church family about mission and ministry Tom Stephenson and John Bailey have been authorized to negotiate up to a one-year parking lease agreement with TransWest See the full list on the News bulletin board in the hallway.

Pray for Vietnam And our missionary, Pastor Minh FALL OUTREACH HIGHLIGHTS There are lots of ways to connect with neighbors this fall. In addition to our ongoing Talk Time, Neighborhood Kitchen, and Search & Rescue, check out these opportunities and more to come: Pastor Minh is continuing his ministry in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Please pray for him and his ministry, so more Vietnamese can have the opportunity to hear the Good News, and then accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. The peoples of Vietnam are some of the least reached in Asia. Pray that this nation would be transformed as the good news of Jesus Christ extends to all peoples and segments of society. Peoples: The majority of Christians in Vietnam come from the minority peoples but the majority Viet Kinh (over 75 million people) has only 500,000 believers. Pray for the Holy Spirit to open their hearts! Places: The capital Hanoi, with a population of 7 million has less than 0.1% evangelical believers. While Ho Chi Minh City, with a population of 8-10 million, has nearly 2%, pray for the challenges and opportunities that these very different situations bring. It is increasingly easy for foreigner workers to be based in Vietnam, pray for people of faith to go. Society: The country is changing very rapidly and becoming increasingly globalised. The values of younger generations have become ambition and individualism. Pray that there would be increasing opportunities to tell them about Jesus. Pray for the ongoing spiritual battle as ancestors are worshiped. Church: Pray for revival in the 100 year old evangelical church. May the church grow in outreach to their local communities and pray the gospel would be seen as well as heard as lives are changed. Because of traditional belief Vietnamese Christians accept God as creator but pray they would also know him as Father and be sure of His grace, received through Jesus.
