LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT It's that time again! Seems like just last week I wrote the last one! All the ROTC presentations are done. Thanks to Everett DeWitt and his group. The past meeting wa very informative-all about insurance by Chelsie Lamie. If you missed it, you missed a good one. Also, we got to meet our web site saving Angel, Debra Macking. Thanks Joe Sheehan for the opportunity. Be sure to let her know that she is welcome anytime! I am still selling shirts, but be advised that they MUST be picked up at the general meeting and checks should be made out to 'KWVA Chapter 14'. Also, they are available in several colors-see the colors at the meeting. I am a little ahead of myself but I am sure will have a good turnout on Memorial Day at Freedom Lake Park. MEMBERSHIP CHAPTER 91 members, including: Gold Star Wife/POWs and Nursing Home patients. The Consul General's Office for the Republic of Korea in Atlanta, has requested the names of all Chapter 14 (Korean War Veterans of America) members who did not receive the Ambassador of Peace Medal in October 2010 in Tampa. The intention of the Consulate's staff is to ensure every Korean War Veteran is fully recognized by the Korean People for their service from 1950-1953. Members are asked to call Joe Slatton (727-345-4845) or Joan Arcand (727392-5648) if they wish to receive this medal by June 25, 2013. When we receive the medals, a special program will be scheduled at a Chapter meeting. The large, hanging medal is on a multi-striped ribbon and, along with a tie-tac and miniature ribbon, comes in a blue velvet case. Don't miss out! Call now FORGOTTEN NO MORE!
