Scripture Lesson Genesis 24:62-67 Now Isaac had come from Beer Lahai Roi, for he was living in the Negev. He went out to the field one evening to meditate, and as he looked up, he saw camels approaching. Rebekah also looked up and saw Isaac. She got down from her camel and asked the servant, Who is that man in the field coming to meet us? He is my master, the servant answered. So she took her veil and covered herself. Then the servant told Isaac all he had done. Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted after his mother s death. The Word of the Lord: Thanks be to God! The Solid Rock My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus' blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus' name. Chorus On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand. When darkness veils his lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; In ev ry high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil. His oath, His covenant, His blood, Support me in the whelming flood; When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay. When He shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in Him be found; Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne. Great Is Thy Faithfulness Chorus Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning New mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Great is Thy faithfulness, Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! Great is Thy faithfulness, O God, my Father; There is no shadow Of turning with Thee. Thou changest not; Thy compassions, they fail not. As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be. Summer and winter, And springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars In their courses above Join with all nature In manifold witness To Thy great faithfulness, Mercy and love. Pardon for sin And a peace that endureth, Thy own dear presence To cheer and to guide. Strength for today And bright hope for tomorrow Blessings all mine With ten thousand beside!
