DONOR INFORMATION The papers were donated to the State Historical Society of Missouri by an unknown donor on 15 February 1971 (Accession No. 733). ORGANIZATIONAL SKETCH The Missouri Council of was established by Governor Gardner on April 12, 1917, to stimulate patriotism and organize Missouri resources for programs and activities. Emphasis was on food production and conservation. Disloyalty, sedition and problems of German minority groups in Missouri are also mentioned.
