Did you get the chance to hear it? If you didn t, please go to our Facebook page or our website and listen. It was powerful and made me pause and take a good look at some of the things I say and do. He spoke about Truth. The kind of Truth with a capital T. The kind of Truth that exists whether you or I like it, believe it, live it, or not. It s God s Truth. This world is so full of relativism, we have convinced ourselves that we can make our own Truth. In fact, this is the biggest lie we can tell ourselves, and when we do, Satan rejoices. Every time Satan hears one of us justify a behavior or a belief that isn t in God s plan, he rubs his evil hands together and smacks his lips. He is thrilled to have one more soul closer to his grips. I know it sounds a bit dramatic, but is it? We all want to live in the gray areas of life, but there are times the answer is clearly black and white. If you re reading this, you are probably at Mass, or at least on the website, and interested in the comings and goings of St. Anthony. So maybe you re living well within the lines of God s Truth, although we all need to take our spiritual and moral inventory now and then. But what about those in your family that have fallen away from Christ? Have you lovingly spoken to them lately about God s Truth? Invite them to Mass. Encourage them to register their kids for Religious Education or Confirmation. Tell them the crazy DRE at the church wants to meet them. I don t know do or say whatever God puts on your heart. But say something. One of my favorite one-liner prayers is, Bless them, change me. I want to keep my focus and judgement on my own issues and keep my own grass watered. But I also have to honestly and lovingly let those I love, know about God s Love and God s Truth. It s not just for me, it s for us all. Have a fantastic week! Come join us Sunday evenings in Aug and Sept for a 30 minute film on Mary, and then the rosary at the grotto. You won t regret it! Blessings, Melissa
