BULLETIN NOTES June Book Group Twenty Poems to Nourish Your Soul: Selections and Commentary by Judith Valente and Charles Reynard Poetry and prayer begin together: with paying attention. The poems in this collection-including selections from Mary Oliver, W.S. Merwin, Whitman, Rilke, Li-Young Lee and others-help us to look deeply at this world, and to respond to it with attentiveness, acceptance and gratitude. The poems are organized around ten themes rooted in Ignatian spirituality, and each is followed by a commentary. In reading these poems and reflections together, we will consider the ways in which poetry can focus the meaning and mystery of life, at the heart of which is God. We will meet Thursdays, June 14, 21 and 28 at 7 pm in the Library. Email Daniel Cooperrider at Daniel@wellesleyvillagechurch.org or call 781.235.1988 x23 to sign up.
