Doing Some New Things There will be no keynote presentations at the retreat. Instead we will do some new and exciting things: - An enlightening Friday night Bible Study. - A skit to help us get ready for Quadrennial Assembly. - A play about the early days of Women s Ministries to help us envision the future. - A new church pastor, Yvonne Gilmore Essig will be the preacher for our Saturday night worship. Workshops The Art of Hosting LaTaunya Bynum. The art of hosting is not about how to set a table or serve a delicious meal. The Art of Hosting is about the hospitality of conversations that allow people to feel free to talk together about what is of importance to them. Retreat Choir with Charlotte Bougher and Lanie Davis Creative worship for Sunday morning Yvonne Gilmore Essig. Participants will plan the closing Sunday morning worship service. Part of the service will include women telling their faith stories. Please bring an object that represents renewal for you to place on the worship center Sunday morning. For Such a Time as This! Jackie Bunch. It was once said that we change our styles of organization as frequently as we change our dress styles. Come to this workshop to give input and share your vision for keeping OWM relevant in the lives of women and dynamic in the life and mission of the Church. Plan to arrive on Friday. Registration will begin at 3:00 pm. Since there will be no meal served on Friday night, be sure to grab a bite to eat on your way to Camp. Snacks will be served after our Friday night assembly. You will get three meals on Saturday and a substantial breakfast Sunday morning. We will then have worship and you will be on your way home renewed, refreshed, and excited to share what you have experienced with others. An offering will be taken at the Sunday morning worship and will be divided among the Cleveland Christian Home, the Quadrennial Fund, and Ohio Women s Ministries. We are pleased to tell you that registration costs will be the same as last year; the registration form and other helpful information are enclosed. We are looking forward to a great retreat and to spending time with old friends and new ones.
