Today is Life Sunday, a day to stand for life, for those who threatened by the culture of death and to begin, commit, promote and defend the right-tolife through awareness, education and a decision to be actively pro-life. All life has inestimable value even the weakest and most vulnerable, the sick, the old, the unborn and the poor, are masterpieces of God s creation, made in his own image, destined to live forever, and deserving of the utmost reverence and respect. -Pope Francis Life, especially human life, belongs only to God: For this reason whoever attacks human life, in some way attacks God himself. To claim the right to abortion, infanticide, euthanasia and to recognize that as a right in law, adds to human freedom a wrong and evil significance. We must be able accept and embrace the gift of life in each human individual including disabled and elderly and identify them as a beloved child of God. Death is not the answer to liberate from the suffering of this life. Life only finds meaning, when it is given up for others. Compassion is a universal value and the root meaning of compassion means to suffer with another person. Suffering can only be conquered by love, and love alone can prove suffering. The ultimate love is that shown by Christ on the Cross. At the beginning of Salvation, it is the birth of a child which is proclaimed as joyful news. The source of this "great joy" is the Birth of the Savior. It also reveals the full meaning of every human birth, and must be seen as the foundation and fulfilment of joy at every child born into the world till the day we are called back to eternal Home. God s blessings upon you! Fr.
