P A G E 2 We Need Each Other Let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works. Hebrews 10:24 It would be nice to be self-sufficient, but the fact is WE NEED EACH OTHER. This became very clear with the recent ice and snow storms. Work crews were needed to salt and keep the roads clear to drive on, electrical crews were essential for power to be restored and postal and delivery workers were important to make sure mail and packages arrived on time. God has gifted each of us as His children to work together as the family of God. We encourage one another when we gather for worship, Bible study, planning, training, prayer, missions, visitation, ministry, fellowship and of course eating and having fun together. As we gather and go out using our gifts we are inspired to become more like Christ. How good and pleasant it is when we as brothers and sisters recognize our need daily for God and for one another. Please continue to be in prayer for your Pastor Search Committee in seeking God s future Senior Pastor for Wrightsboro Baptist Church. Be Blessed and seek to Be A Blessing!!! Pastor Mike EARLY WALKERS Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays at 8:00am in the FLC If you are interested in joining the fun & walking to the beat of Christian Music...indoors, we are the group you want to join!
P A G E 3 From the Pastor Search Committee Look straight ahead and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Proverbs 4:25 As we start a new calendar year, the Pastor Search Committee is pleased to report progress and promising news! On January 9, the Committee had the pleasure of meeting with a Pastor candidate. In an informal setting, we enjoyed dinner and interviewed with the Candidate and his Wife and had the opportunity to discuss his ministry, doctrinal beliefs and family life. We also shared the ministry, programs and other information about our church. Following the interview, the committee unanimously voted to present the candidate to the membership of WBC in view of a call as Senior Pastor. The Pastor and his Wife have graciously accepted the invitation to visit during the weekend of February 16-18. A casual floating reception will be held in the FLC on Saturday, February 17 from 3-5:00pm with a 3:30pm sharing time for the membership and the Pastor/Wife to get to know one another. Light refreshments will be served. On Sunday at the 11am (no 8:30 Worship) Worship Service, the Pastor will deliver a sermon to the congregation after which the membership will be called into conference. This is an exciting time and we continue to seek God s will and the leadership of the Holy Spirit for this sensitive process and for this Pastor candidate. God bless you as you continue to pray and to serve the Lord faithfully and remain in His work each day for His purpose. The Pastor Search Committee http://www.facebook.com/groups/34584332542/
