Sunday, October 7th (World Communion Sunday), we will receive the Neighbors in Need (NIN) offering, one of our 5-for-5 UCC special mission offerings. NIN supports the UCC s ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC's Justice and Witness Ministries (JWM) to support a variety of local and national justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects. One-third of NIN funds support the UCC s Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM). There are 20 UCC congregations on reservations, and one urban, multi-tribal congregation in Minneapolis. CAIM is also an invaluable resource for more than 1,000 individuals from dozens of other tribes and nations who are members of other UCC congregations in the U.S. Thank you for supporting Neighbors In Need! (Donations can also be made online at www.ucc.org/nin.)

Dinner Church - Sunday, October 14-11:00AM Join us in the Good Shepherd Room for Worship Service A Nepali meal and Sabbatical stories and pictures A note from Pastor Rob - Many of you have asked if there will be a time for me to share stories and pictures of my sabbatical. Yes! On October 14th we will worship in the Good Shepherd Room for our regular service. We will have what we at Veritas call "Dinner Church." Rob and I will make a Nepali meal for everyone and we will eat during the service as we worship. The service will focus on the spiritual connections I discovered during my trip and I will show pictures and share stories. How can you help? I will need a few people to volunteer to set up for it. I would also welcome a few people to make rice for the event. We can make all the rest, but rice is hard to make ahead of time. Let me know if you are able to help! Please join us! (By the way...nepali food is very much like Indian food, but it will not be as spicy.)
