New Jersey Samagam May 8, 2016 As His Holiness walked through the hall of the New Jersey satsang bhavan, the wave of emotions that filled the hall were indescribable. Saints from New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Boston, Chicago, and Toronto along with many other branches, were blessed to have an early surprise visit from the Holy Master. It was an eventful day not just because it was mother s day, but because we got to see Babaji and listen to speeches and songs from many saints who have traveled long distances to seek blessings from His Holiness Babaji. Everyone was in a state of pure bliss as we all came together to sing the glory of this Almighty Nirankar. This visit was a great way to start the path towards NIS 2, a vision the Satguru has been working towards. In this samagam many saints were called upon to share their emotions, thoughts, feelings, gratitude, happiness and much more. A unique aspect of this mission, led by the Satguru is the multigenerational characteristic. Saints not only in the older age group join in harmony to praise Nirankar, but also youngsters can be seen bringing their own touch to the mission. Youth from New York shared a blissful song that was sung during the UN gender equality gathering in New York City. A rap song was also shared by the youth that they themselves scripted the lyrics for. So much talent was witnessed that day, all due to the grace of His Holiness. In addition, young children of the mission adeptly sang a verse from the Sampuran Avtar Bani, in both English and Punjabi. Reverend Sandeep Khinda Ji, accompanying His Holiness taught us so many life lessons in the few words he spoke. This is the time of very mixed emotions, on one hand there is so much joy and happiness, on everybody s face especially after Hazur, You have reached here. I was inundated with messages from those who learned that you were here. They were praying and asking for an opportunity to do your darshan and visit. I think it must have been one of the hardest things I have had to do is when I had to refuse people, when the time was not right and they were not able to come and visit you. The same happened when Mata Ji arrived. But Baba Ji I must say that the discipline of the sangat here and of everybody that contacted me, not a single one of them forced or pressurized even though their hearts were longing to see You. They stayed within mariada. And I think that, the blessing, the fruit we receive we have seen today. Baba Ji was saying since last week Sunday to do darshan of the saints here but the time was not right. I have seen when a thirsty person knows where water is but still doesn't go there, and when the water is available and the thirsty person s thirst is quenched, so much fulfillment is observed. Baba Ji s arrival gave that bliss and satisfaction to everyone here. Like I said it is a very confusing time and emotional time. There is happiness by seeing You almighty, but Mata Ji s absence can be felt in our hearts. Mata Ji is not with You. Hazur, You know and we all know that when Mata Ji was not able to attend many satsangs, she would always insist for the arrangement to see the sangat live on the internet. Truly a testimony that as much

as the children miss the mother, more than that the mother misses her children. Hazur from the thousands of people who have written in message, just a prayer in your holy feet that please bless Mata Ji with perfect health, that she may join you very quickly, and we as a sangat may receive your blessings and her blessings and take that happiness and guidance, that vision of Yours and of hers throughout our life and carry on. Baba Ji there is really nothing else I have to say apart from I ask for all of your forgiveness from those who I have asked to turn away and ask not to attend. Babaji please never make that opportunity happen again when I have to refuse people to do your darshan. Forgive me Hazur. Reverend Mami Ji and holy sister Sudiksha Ji was also visiting us in the satsang. Respected Ashok Wahi Ji, Respected Parveen Aluwalia Ji and respected Meera Samtani Ji welcomed Sandeep Khinda Ji, Mami Ji and holy sister Sudiksha Ji in the sangat, in the presence of the True Master. Following the blissful speeches, songs and countless life lessons received all the devotees surrendered in the lotus feet of Hazur in an attempt to listen and garner the pious pearls He expressed. His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji: It has been a long time after which Das got this chance to come to New York/ New Jersey. Last July, as you all know, during the North America tour I got the opportunity to visit saints from about 12 states of the United States, and on that tour it was not possible to come to New York, but Rochester and Toronto were some stations where saints from New York visited. Even prior to that, everyone gained immense bliss from the large samagam arranged in this area, in Boston. I felt happy to have your darshan. Time and time again many occasions arise where Das gets to visit many saints, whether they live in corners within India or even outside of India, where they work hard and simultaneously take part in sewa, simran, and satsang. In India, various opportunities get to travel to different places and meet many saints in distant places, where love, dedication, and respect can be seen. Even though every year around the month of March or April, samagams all over India take place, but this time it was not possible for the reason you all are aware of, it was even mentioned today. But other than that, Das got to visit many places such as Jammu, Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, Uttarakhand. The same respect and bhakti bhav was witnessed there. They are trying to stay steadfast to this God knowledge and follow it. In this manner, even beyond India, whether it be Europe, Austro-Asian countries, gulf countries in the middle east. In any situations and circumstances, saints always yearn to do sangat. Some places have restrictions and regulations, saints still yearn to do satsang, do sewa. And now sewa has taken a large form, such that now everywhere we see youngsters, the satsang coming out for the whole humanity. Even in India, an array of these forms took place where the community, the

country was served. And these countries have not stayed back, here also there is a large amount of sewa being done. The aspect of sewa has become stronger. The children and youth are learning to not focus on oneself rather on others. In this manner many events are occurring such as samagams, youth conference. Last year July, in Calgary a two day youth conference was arranged. During that time, youth reached from many places and they gained more clarity on gyan and gained more inspiration. The last part of that journey was Toronto, 2-3 August, where I announced for NIS 2. Since then, there is great motivation for that event. The dedication with which saints are coming out so that they can be part of this event, because the first event was on an international level outside of India in Birmingham in August 2012. So many saints who attended that still have the lasting effects, the ones who just heard kept the desire on a higher magnitude that we too should be part of such a samagam. I have gotten the chance to be in Delhi for some time. The team which is made for NIS, there were non stop video conference calls between the committee that is arranging NIS2. Even here two days ago, with the board of director of Canada, I spent 3-4 hours video conferencing with them. It doesn t matter what kind of sewa they are doing but they are all focused to make sure that we enhance the image of the mission and they are all focused on making sure that we accomplish what Baba Buta Singh Ji had set out to do, and what Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji spent his entire life for. Gurbachan Ji faced so many difficulties. Along with him, so many other saints for e.g. Bhapa Ram Chand Ji spent their entire life on the path of Gurmat. Based on the signs and hukum of the guru, these saints kept walking and that is the reason why we remember them. That is the reason why we respect them and worship them with our heart. Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji had a global vision on which he created the format of the mission to grow internationally aligned with the local rules and regulations. He knew the mission is universal. Our message is universal and so expanding in these countries was preached by him. He worked hard globally and spread the message of the mission and saints who were residing in these countries worked with him to spread the message of the mission. Everyone has goals and ambitions and they perform all kinds of efforts to accomplish them. Few people accomplish their goals, but the biggest goal that has been educated by many saints is missed by these people. It is saints and sages who have acknowledged the importance of this goal and they have worked towards accomplishing it for ages. This life that we have is very valuable. Every breath is important; every breath that we take does not come back and every second that goes by does not come back either. In the blink of the eye the scene in front of us changes. Every second of life is valuable and handling a valuable thing properly is what wisdom is. Thus every second and every breath is important and those who realize this take care of it properly. One can never value it by living a life wrapped in maya and materialistic things. We will be able to take care of it by spending our life in spirituality, by keeping our heart and minds connected with the almighty. When this happens, that life and those breaths are worth celebrating. All our actions thus become pure once we are attached with the almighty. Such a life that is

constantly connected with Nirankar becomes pure since we feel the presence of Nirankar in every act. If we talk about food and drinks, if we experience Nirankar, then we only eat and drink the right things that are good for our body. Even while interacting with anyone, if we feel the presence of Nirankar, our actions are always correct and pure. Thus when we spend our life by experiencing Nirankar our own life becomes beautiful and it also impacts others around us. They also get motivated to step on the path that we are on. Thus saints have not spread the message of the truth just by words and speech, but they did it through their actions. Their entire life became a source of inspiration and it's these saints who have lived their lives in this way and have been the real source of spreading the word of the truth. Like this, a saint is always motivated to spread his life like this. He is always focused on his own life. He is always careful on every step of the way. They are always careful that even a single step of theirs does not step out of the Guru s wish. They are careful that their every step is such that it does not create any harm for them or for anyone else. Every such step which is taken in the direction of Guru s wishes can be compared to that of a sacred pilgrimage. I ve often said that there are certain devotional places where people go and express their devotion. Their devotion is restricted to such places but for saints there are no such restrictions, they themselves turn into a place of devotion. Let s pray to the almighty that may all live such a life so that everyone s life becomes beautiful and they motivate this world which is living in darkness, which if full of violence, which has negative tolerance levels, so much so that they can even tolerate someone overtaking their car. People have thus become so intolerant and impatient and such an environment where we see so much anger, greed, and violence, it has become a disease and it needs to be cured just as we work to cure a disease from our body. These diseases from the heart and soul are more dangerous than any physical ailments. Saints always work to keep themselves away from such diseases and they stay focused on human values and the remain focused on living their life not just for themselves, but for others as well. In the process of working for others, saints have been sacrificing their lives. Just recently during Manav Ekta Diwas we remembered these saints like Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and Chacha Partap Singh Ji, who sacrificed their lives for us. They all had to lay down their lives for the truth and humanity. Thus to spread this truth one has to go through a lot of sacrifices. This process of darkness and light has been going on forever. It s the people of light who have been making sacrifices so that other people are saved. One can stay drowned in darkness, but there is always an option to swim towards the shore. Still people prefer to stay drowned in darkness because of their ego. Because they have been hesitating to walk on the right path. They ve instead been focusing on the wrong path and thus have always been drowned. But it's saints like you who have swam towards the shore and you also make sure that others also swim with you. Thus Das prays that may almighty bless everyone so that we stay in a state of bliss and live their life on the right path. Today we are also celebrating Mother's Day. We have seen the life of RajMata Ji who spent her entire life without giving any thought to whose wife she was or

whose mother she was. She led the life of a complete Gursikh. She only remembered the relationship of a Gursikh and may Nirankar bless all of us so that we keep respecting and celebrating such mother. Also we were praying now and even for the last few months, everyone has been praying for Pujya Mata Ji so that we see her healthy and fit. It is for that reason that we came here and with God s grace the medication and surgery has been going well. May Nirankar bless her so that she can bless the sangat regularly. May she continue to bless the congregation always. Ever since her absence during the Mumbai samagam she had been attending as many sangats and samagams she can. Doctors have advised her to make sure that she avoids any kind of infection. As we know for long term gains sometimes we have to make some short term sacrifices. As Sandeep Ji was mentioning that just like RajMata Ji, Pujya Mata Ji has been watching these sangats and samagams online when possible. Let us pray to Nirankar that we all remain healthy and fit and we keep exercising our roles and responsibilities. As Das said before, this time is very valuable, every second is valuable, so let's make sure we do not waste it. We should instead use our time wisely. We ve all been focused towards NIS which is now just a few days away from us. In india the excitement is so much that the registration is much more than the US and Canada combined. Some of them are having issues with VISA because of some Canadian rules and regulations, but most of them seem to be getting their VISAS in time. I ve heard now that the registration here has sped up. Although happening in Toronto, this year is your samagam. This is the North America samagam. The experience of participating in a samagam cannot be compared to watching them online or watching documentaries. So for NIS 2 let s make sure that we all participate. Das prays to almighty that bless everyone to participate in NIS 2 at various locations. Everyone is participating enthusiastically in these pathway events and are contributing to spread the word of the mission. May almighty bless us all to continue with the same energy. Das will not use any more words and shall stop here. This samagam elicited memories that will be cherished forever. The hall was overflowing with enlightened souls.the saints of the New Jersey branch and the surrounding branches that had the opportunity to be part of this historical samagam will forever be grateful to the Satguru.
