Loaves and fishes for the soul By depscribe In its way, this wonderful little book, often called the "little brother" of the Roman Missal, is superior to the bigger book. That way is in ease of use, of how very much has gotten packed into so small a volume, and how well organized it is. Following the Mass in either English or Latin, including the Eucharistic Prayers and their Prefaces, can be daunting with the Roman Missal, but here it is easy. With the two languages on opposite pages, it is also of great benefit when participating in (or trying to follow as, say, on EWTN) Masses that switch back and forth from English to Latin to English (or vice versa). If that were all it did it would be well worth the price. But this wonderful book contains so much more -- prayers, liturgies, litanies, blessings, explanations. There are sections on how to be a better Catholic, how to make a good confession, and more. The illustrations are pious and inspiring. We know how Our Lord fed the multitude with five loaves and two fishes.
