other Total Module 1: Techniques, Training and Practice FOR ASANAS Demonstration of eah posture from the the primery series the correct breathing in each postures, transition, and vinyasa counting. bandhas and how to apply them in each poses...through discussion and pratical exercises underlining the importance of the dristi and bandhas and how to apply them in each poses.demostration explanations of the sequence, its importance and its logic this module will be divided in 5 categories :sun salutation, finishing poses, the standing poses, the sitting and then back bending. other Total foundation moving towards a more control breath, introducing importance of bandhas, Ujjayi sound and experiencing fully the breath introduction and Demostration of different preparotory breathing exercices,and kryas (udhyana bandhas, kapalabati,neti).importance of the shat kriyas in yoga and especially pranayama demonstration of the 5 principal pranayama as thet are described in the hatha yoga pradipika/and verbal discussion of their effects on the boby / mind, Learning some of the most important mantra will help us to chant them and fell a state of concentration and deep connection that relly can help and maximize the effect of pranayama Module 3: teaching metholdology Teach people how to sequence a class/ workshop to target a general category of poses ( backbends,hips opener..) to include the right kind of poses to prepare the required areas of the body and then how to use counter pose and bring the body back into balance. How to use modifications and options for props allowing for different bodies different abilities. Here we will of course develop props and modification for all the poses of the ashtanga, but also see how props can be used in a more restorative way. This study will be combine the practice in order to put together practice and theory: asanas, pranayama and kriyas Study of the first 2 chapters of the yoga sutras of Patanjali and their recitation, and the bhagavad gita Discussion about how we live our lives on the mat (personal yoga practice) and off the mat, including, nutrition, sleep, relations family, friends and communities In this module we will study some Ayurveda principal and how this science of life match so well the yoga. other Total Module 5: anatomy and physiology The anatomy course will work through discussion, coloring in, handout, worksheet, home reading material and anatomy video, asana classes t integrate anatomical information. The main topic will be the physiology of breath (pranayama vs breathing), the bandhas on a physical and energetic level, Anatomy experiential and how to fell what we study when we look at skeletal and muscular system covering the bones, joints, major muscles and common musculoskeletal injuries...we will also related this part of the anatomy the study of the muscles in different postures ex psoas Major contracts in trikonasana and streched in ushtrasana. Here we will do importance of the different Systems Nervous, Circulatory, and Respiratory 10 20 10 40 Module 6:Practicum / Teaching, Assisting & Observing Classes practice teaching a ono on one class and small group to built up confidence practice teaching a class level one first and then a beginner one, and be able to lead the class the ashtanga counting, adjusting sometimes and demonstrating been able to teach a class more technique or more flow depending on the audience. Outside of the training the trainnees will have to assist minmum 10 class, first only observation and taking notes; for the one very confortable their adjusting skills starting, they will start to adjust students in someone else class and in mysore 34 5 5 44 Page 5 of 6
