Join us in the Fireside Room and gain a fresh perspective on the Wisdom Literature. An incredible journey to see Jesus in the Old Testament, featuring Nancy Guthrie's DVD series. Light breakfast served, led by Carol Bedell and Patrice Verhines. 9:00 & 10:45 am KidZone Children, 1st through 6th grades - dismissed after the Offertory. Nursery care is provided for children ages 0-2. Deacon Message: Your deacons are responsible for preparing the communion table and assisting in the serving of the elements. This sacred part of our Christian faith is entrusted to the Deacons who serve with honor. Your contributions to the Deacon Fund help us with this and many other activities. Attention students: The scholarship applications are due November 1st. The deacons are currently accepting letters of request. Applicants should have regular attendance at LPC or the local church in their college community. Your letter should include the name of your school, your church involvement, your address, email address and telephone number. Please mail these requests to Lincoln Presbyterian Church, 900 Douglas Rd. Stockton, CA 95207, Attn: Carol Sharpe. Pastor Appreciation Month: We are promoting Pastor Appreciation in October. Each Sunday in October we will have a box at the information desk in our Lobby available for worshipers to place cards of appreciation addressed to individual Pastors; Bob Mitchell, Jon Hathorn, Fred Jantz, and Al Van Selow. CANDY TOFFEE SALES: Our youth are taking orders for Scrump English Toffee today and on October 14th and 21st. The toffee will be just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas as they will be available for pick up on November 11th and 18th.This fundraiser is to help with winter camp costs. CHURCH MEMBERSHIP AND WELCOME CLASS begins today - Sundays in October at 12:00 noon in the Fireside Room.
