Page 2 From the Pastor We talk of the Second Coming; half of the world has never heard of the first.. -Oswald J. Smith No one has the right to hear the Gospel twice, while there remains someone who has not heard it once. -Oswald J. Smith Unlike all other religions, Christianity is not about simply learning doctrine and rules, then passing what is learned from generation to generation. Each follower of Christ is obligated to become vitally involved in carrying the Great Commission directly and indirectly to everyone in the entire world. When the church gets the Great Commission right, it can impact the world! Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. -Matthew 28:19-20 When we get the Great Commission right, we can impact San Angelo! Such a great thought and even a greater task. June 7-12, Immanuel Baptist Church has the opportunity to get it right for a whole week. We need you to participate in this Great Commission week. We are still in need of team captains for housing, transportation, and meals. We also need you to participate in our daily activities of a housing project, ministry projects, evangelism training, and canvassing our neighborhoods. As your pastor, I am asking you to become involved in possibly the greatest week of outreach IBC has ever attempted at one time. We need an army. Will you join us? You may sign up on our website, IBCfam.org, or by filling out a LOVE WEEK brochure and turning it into the office. Looking forward to an awesome week working together! Bro. Tommy
