MAY 12, 2015 RICHLAND HILLS CHRISTIAN CHURCH THE CHURCH VISITOR image of Christ, which should be our desire as a Christian. The more we become like Christ, the more of Christ will be seen in the world in which we live. Our faith in God will also grow as scripture tells us faith comes from hearing and by hearing the Word of God. Lessons Learned Our Mother s Day Service, despite a rainy start, turned out great. I shared some of the lessons I learned from my mom but the most meaningful part of the service was when members shared their hearts about their moms. Emotions were touched as people told of the loving kindness that so many had experienced in their lives through their mothers. But these expressions of love are not just limited to mothers but I think God has gifted women in special ways to impact peoples lives. I think most of us as we contemplate the lives we have lived see the lasting role that women have played in our becoming who we are. All of us realize the power of love to make a difference in the lives of others. One of the reasons I want each of us to have a more in-depth study of the Bible is so that we all fall more deeply in love with God. That love, as it grows, will reshape us more and more into the This coming Friday we, as a church, will once again be able to express our love to the staff at Binion Elementary. A nice lunch and friendly faces do a lot when it comes to communicating how much we do love and care for the staff that takes care of the 700 students at Binion. I hope we will do this for years to come. It s all about love, love, love! Love is the opening line of a song by Steven Curtis Chapman. Love has the power to change everything. It is through God s love that we have been saved and given a new life. It is through God s love that we, as a church, will make a difference in this world. This is the lesson we learned and the lesson we are called to share. Love God, Love Others, and Serve. We can make a difference together through LOVE. --Pastor Paul SERMON TITLE: By The Spirit SCRIPTURE READINGS: Romans 8:9-17

NEED is in desperate need of grape jelly. If you could help out in this way, please bring to the church on Sunday and place your donation in the NEED Box in the Gathering Area. Thank you! Thru the Bible in a Year So, how is your yearlong study of the Bible going? I m sure other members would love to hear what you are learning in God s word. Please take a moment and send Laura an article about your adventures in the Bible. Leadership Lines Soon we will start having short articles from the leaders of our ministry teams here at church. These articles will provide insight into what is going on here at RHCC throughout the year and what will be coming up that you may want to get involved in. PRAY Unceasingly Don t forget every Sunday at 9:00 am before our church day begins, we gather in the sanctuary to start our day in prayer. Take a few extra minutes out of your day and join us as we gather around the table. Singing for the Summer If you are interested in performing some music this summer while the choir takes a break, please contact Charles Mason, our Choir Director, at 817-692-3816 or email him at chrrs28mason@gmail.com. - Before You Know It! At our last Cabinet meeting I brought up that soon we would be undertaking the job of filling leadership positions as well as preparing a budget for 2016. As your pastor, I am asking you now to begin to pray for both of these important areas in the life of our church. Pray that God will open hearts and show us His desires for what we will accomplish as a church in 2016 and who will lead us. Through prayer all things are possible and joined together, we will see God do great things through the life of RHCC. Pray with me. --Pastor Paul
