LIVING YOGA & AYURVEDA Summer Intensive WITH YOGI CAMERON & YOGINI JAIMA

This summer intensive will be taught in a traditional Gurukul experience where the student is immersed in the practices of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Meditation at the home of the teacher. Learn to live life transforming practices to obtain a healthy body and a spiritual mind with Yogi Cameron and Yogini Jaima at their home next to the pure ocean waters of Huntington Beach, California.

Welcome To The Gurukul Gurukul is the home of the Guru or Yogi. It s place of practice and solitude. A place where the energy is potent with shiva and shaki - the opposite forces of nature which run through every being. This energy is much stronger in the Gurukul because the Yogis live and breathe the principles of love, compassion and oneness in their home. Just being in an energy like this is calming, centering and balancing to the nervous system and mind. It brings down the stress level and allows the senses to rest. In this peaceful state real learning and deep understanding can happen. You will not forget the teachings because they will permeate your being. This way of teaching opens up the subtle learning channels of the body and mind allowing spirit learning beyond just intellectual experiencing.

Your experience will be about moving from the ordinary to having meaningful connections and leaving behind your unnecessary mental distractions which you have collected over the years. The weekend will be about correcting your misconceptions about your potential and understanding what your purpose will be in the short and long term. This is for the seeker, the aspirant and the ones who want to live fully, consciously and beyond the fear of a limited mind.

LIVING Yoga Developing and perfecting your individual daily practice so you can go back home and have a personalize spiritual practice for life. There are so many practices but only specific ones for the individual person to be able to benefit from and continue as a spiritual practice.

Living Yoga will include: Pooja-sacred rituals We invite the higher energies to awaken within ourselves. Bindi is a symbol for the spiritual third eye that is placed on the third eye after purification practices that open our consciousness to receive enlightenment. Shatkarma cleansing practices Clear the subtle channels of the body and mind for quicker thinking and to also clean out any toxicity which is trapped in veins or arteries around the body and especially to the brain. These practices will be of Agnisar Kriya, nuali, advanced neti. These are done before you commence your Yogic practices (which is explained on the next page).

(Living Yoga continued) Asana postures Practicing between 7-10 postures (including sun salutations) while going through each one until you are doing them correctly and fluidly. Pranayama breathing To bring the vital force of the body under the control of the mind we use various breathing methods The breath also holds the key to calming the mind and bringing down things like the heart rate and blood pressure for better concentration and focus. Dharana concentration Once the mind is calmer the senses will need controlling so they don t disturb our concentration. Mantra sound vibration Mantras are used to get the mind to be very focused and one pointed. This will be the preparation for deeper meditation. Dhiyana meditation This practice will spontaneously happen as a result of all the other practices. This is where you move beyond your mind and thoughts and into the depths of your intuition. This is where many of your deep desires and questions are fulfilled.

LIVING Ayurveda Ayurvedic living is a vast subject and there are many principles to health and healing. Here you will learn how to apply the most simple but pertinent practices so you are able to manage and balance your life. We will cover theory but mainly practical practices so you will become self sufficient in how you live.

Living Ayurveda will include: Learning principles of healthy living according to your body and mind type This will include understanding how elements constantly move and create issues in the body and how gunas affect the mind on a moment to moment bases making our thoughts and senses more hyper and intense. Learning how to use the most potent herbs for cooking We learn to use the best herbs so your digestion stays the strongest to be able to extract as much nutrition out of food. This process is a very important one which most people have issues with. Here we will solve these problems. Learning to use herbs for healing and maintaining health Herbal medicines need to be taken into the system on a daily bases to either help heal or ward off any ailments which are building up without our knowledge. Preventative medicine is the first step in ayurvedic healing.

(Living Ayurveda continued) Learning the principles of simple, nutritious and quick cooking As everyone is extremely busy these days cooking or eating a nutritious meal is usually compromised regularly. Here we will go through the solutions to making simple energy forming food and drinks so you can have easy to make recipes and use the same cooking method to apply to so many dishes. How to solve many ailments Sleeplessness, stress, digestion, immune, migraines, lack of energy, elimination issues, PMS, anxiety and ADD. Many of these issues are related to different lifestyle choices and unconscious habits we keep. We will connect the dots to many of these common ailments and find the long-term solutions to healing them.

LIVING Spiritually While at the home of Yogi Cameron and Yogini Jaima you will learn what it is to live spiritually in this world of chaos, conflict and suffering. You will be able to see, ask questions and get the answers you need about how life can be simplified to a point that it is manageable in a realistic way. This way you to can simplify your life.

Living Spiritually will include: How to see everything in life as a spiritual practice so during your day you can move from disappointments and conflicts to acceptance in a blameless way. How to turn all life s actions into an act of Bhakti or love. Most people speak about this but don t know how to become aware to take the action once they are in a place of anger or emotional pain. You will lean this through practice. How to cultivate awareness in your speech so you are not only speaking the truth but never having fear of the outcome. These days people know how to be polite but not sincere and speak their truth with compassion. There is an art to being real and you will learn this art through actions.

(Living Spiritually continued) How to communicate the the Yogic way Words are only part of communication. But how do we connect and interact with energy and in a way we are understood clearly. How to cultivate equal partnerships or relationships and not one-sided unhealthy ones Relationships are the most complex interactions we have in our daily life. Here you will learn to be so comfortable with yourself that your relationships will also evolve beyond just a surface love and kindness. Develop healthy daily habits Your habits make up your whole day. Here we will discuss healthy habits and how to cultivate them while being aware of more subtle habits we might not even be aware of.

WHAT TO EXPECT: When you leave the Gurukul you will be completely self sustainable and proficient in: Your own daily spiritual practice. Knowing how to approach cooking from the ayurvedic view. Knowing how to make simple basic meals. Knowing how and which herbs to use to maintain your health. Applying preventative and healing measures to current ailments. You will have a deep desire to make healthy choices. You will have the strength to make decisions you have been putting off. Understand much more about yourself. Have an understanding of why you attract the people and things you attract.
