CUFI s mission is to provide Christians United for Israel (CUFI) provides a national association through which every pro-israel church, para-church organization, ministry, Christian media and individual in America can speak and act with one voice in support of Israel in matters related to Biblical issues. cufi s past, present & future 6 In February, 2006, over 400 Christian leaders from across the country flew to San Antonio, Texas to join Pastor John Hagee in determining how the Christian world should respond to the ongoing threats to Israel. By the end of the day, the group had decided to launch a national grassroots movement focused on support of Israel and the Jewish people. Christians United for Israel was born. Since that date, Christians United for Israel has grown to become the largest pro-israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with our message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro- Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish people.

christians united for israel goals and objectives Goal One: To educate Christians about the Biblical and moral imperatives of supporting Israel. While millions of Christians support Israel, there are millions more who do not. It is crucial to build Christian support for Israel throughout America through a program of education, outreach and events. CUFI s education efforts include: CUFI s weekly email update informs hundreds of thousands of Christians about the current situation in Israel and the Middle East. The Torch, CUFI s quarterly magazine, provides articles and analysis on Israel and the Middle East from scholars, policy experts and renowned religious leaders. CUFI s Night to Honor Israel events throughout the country are life-changing experiences that open Christians eyes to the need to support Israel and the Jewish people. CUFI s bi-annual Jerusalem Summit brings thousands of Christians worldwide to Israel to see the country first-hand and demonstrate solidarity. CUFI s website provides cutting-edge educational resources about Israel and updates on CUFI events. Quarterly conference calls with Israeli and U.S. elected officials and opinion leaders enable CUFI members to learn first-hand about the issues facing Israel. CUFI on Campus chapters equip tomorrow s leaders to become effective advocates for Israel, and to counter the rising anti-israel sentiment on campuses. Christians United for Israel Sunday is one day when Christians around the world unite in prayer and action on behalf of Israel. Standing with Israel Meetings are opportunities to help Christians to better understand how and why we should support Israel. Goal Two: To Communicate Pro-Israel Perspectives to Our Neighbors, Newspapers and Elected Officials. While it is important that we pray for Israel, it is also important that we put feet to our prayers and speak truth to power about the need to stand with Israel at this critical juncture in history. Our impact has been immediate. Our growth has been phenomenal. And we ve only just begun. CUFI s advocacy efforts include: CUFI s annual Washington Summit enables CUFI members to personally speak with their elected officials on behalf of Israel. Rapid Response Alerts mobilize CUFI members at critical junctures throughout the year to generate phone calls and emails requesting support for Israel from the administration and Congress. CUFI holds advocacy training sessions at the Washington Summit and events throughout the country. CUFI provides advocacy resources, materials and updates through the CUFI website.

While your personal support is essential, we know that for every pro- Israel church that is actively participating in CUFI, there are many more that are not. If you want to see your church do more for Israel through CUFI, we can help you make it happen. We ask you to prayerfully consider applying to be a CUFI Congregational Representative, Israel s first line of defense in churches throughout America. A dedicated CUFI Congregational Representative can make a tremendous difference in how their congregation views Israel. Using materials provided by CUFI, Congregational Representatives are encouraged to hold prayer nights for Israel, set up information tables at their church, host Bible studies and help their pastor organize CUFI educational events. A Night to Honor Israel is an expression of Christian solidarity with the State of Israel and the Jewish people. Israel needs our support now. There is a new Hitler in the Middle East President Ahmadinejad of Iran who has threatened to wipe out Israel and America and is rapidly acquiring the nuclear technology to make good on his threat. If we learned anything from the Holocaust, it is that when a madman threatens genocide we must take him seriously. During the Holocaust, too many Christians were silent, and we were left to mourn the slaughter of 6 million Jews. Today, Bible-believing Christians must speak up and stand up for Israel We must act to do whatever we can to protect Israel s 6 million Jews from the second Holocaust. We must get it right this time. Our faith demands it. The times require it. Silence is not an option. We will be silent no longer. We pray that you will consider hosting a Night to Honor Israel to stand up and speak up for the State of Israel and the Jewish people. Request to be contacted about planning a Night to Honor Israel or visit www.cufi.org/nighttohonor for more information. Title: Name: Street: City: State: Zip Code: Phone: Email:

If there were ever a time when Israel s friends needed to speak out and be heard, that time is now! Christians United for Israel s Washington Summit is the premier pro-israel event of the year. We bring together some of the most influential leaders and thinkers to update you on recent developments in Israel, the Middle East and Washington, D.C. Then we go to Congress so that you can share your support for Israel directly with your elected officials and help change the way Washington views the Jewish state. We have no doubt that CUFI was created for such a time as this. We have no doubt that together we can take a stand for Israel that will make a difference for years to come. I am fourteen years old and this was my first Summit. The visits on Capitol Hill helped me to realize I can speak up for what I believe. It was awesome to publicly stand up for Israel in the nation s capitol knowing our voice was heard. I came away from the whole experience with a sense of boldness and confidence I have never had before. I know that I will never be the same after this- for Zion s sake I will not keep silent. Jordan Long, Hubbardston, MA When we were singing and waving our flags at the Night to Honor Israel, my six year old Katrina Hope Turk turned to me and said, Mommy, Jesus loves this, doesn t He? I told her that He did and she jumped into a chair to get her flag higher. My father fought in WWII and told stories of the camps he helped liberate. Now to have his granddaughter standing in a chair in Washington, D.C., waving a flag for Israel is just amazing. Thank You! Subrina Turk, Gainesville, GA It was like a family reunion with family members you knew about but had never met. Karen, Springfield, OR The CUFI Summit provides a great history lesson, past and present of Israel, the Israel & Arab conflict and the United States relationship with Israel. I also learned some extra politics when going to Capitol Hill and representing my congressional area to my congressman. The CUFI Summit is an eye-opening experience and I encourage everyone from all ages to attend. We must stand up for Israel - for it is in the Bible, regardless our denomination. Pastor Hagee, thank you for bringing CUFI to us. I had a wonderful experience in Washington, D.C. and will be there next year. Jeanne, San Antonio, TX The speakers were EXCELLENT exceeded expectations. We had our eyes opened and learned so much. Everything was first class highly organized, printed materials were incredibly professional and detailed. We enjoyed the entire experience tremendously. The Israel Pledge WE BELIEVE that the Jewish people have a right to live in their ancient land of Israel, and that the modern State of Israel is the fulfillment of this historic right. WE MAINTAIN that there is no excuse for acts of terrorism against Israel and that Israel has the same right as every other nation to defend her citizens from such violent attacks. WE PLEDGE to stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel and to speak out on their behalf whenever and wherever necessary until the attacks stop and they are finally living in peace and security with their neighbors. Name: Address: City: State: Zip: Email: Phone: Please return The Israel Pledge in the self-addressed envelope or to go www.cufi.org. In 1891, the Jewish people were under attack. Jewish towns and villages throughout Russia were being ransacked by violent, anti-semitic mobs. Thousands of Jews had been killed in cold blood, and more attacks loomed. While most Americans ignored these bloody incidents, many religious Christians stepped forward and took action. Led by William Blackstone, a group of American Christians organized one of the first pro-israel petitions in history decades before there even was a State of Israel! This petition, called the Blackstone Memorial, declared that the only way to stop the bloodshed was to create a Jewish homeland in Palestine to serve as a safe haven for persecuted Jews from Russia and around the world. Today, the Jewish people are again under attack. Jewish towns and villages throughout Israel are being assaulted by terrorist missiles and suicide bombers. Thousands of Jews have been killed in cold blood. More attacks loom. Once again, most of the world is standing idly by as Jewish blood is spilled. And once again, believing Christians are providing an exception to this rule of apathy. Throughout America and the world, Christians are outraged by these attacks and want to do something to stop them. The first step in making a difference is standing up and being counted. Just like a century ago, the time has come for Israel s friends to step forward and openly declare their support. What we need today is a Blackstone Memorial for a new century. Please join us by signing The Israel Pledge. We will keep a running tally of how many people have signed the pledge, and we will publicize these numbers on a periodic basis. The more signatures we gather, the stronger the impact we will make. This is one case where numbers will speak even louder than words. We need your help. Please make sure your voice is heard on this important issue.

Israel is facing some of the most serious threats in her history: Iran is moving forward undeterred in its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Hezbollah and Hamas continue to stockpile missiles, build bunkers, and prepare for future war with Israel. The world continues to criticize Israel s efforts to defend herself while ignoring those who attack her. Even many of our own leaders continue to single Israel out for pressure and criticism. In light of these threats, it is imperative that American Christians be equipped to defend Israel in their classrooms, churches and communities. CUFI s efforts to further educate and mobilize American Christians to stand with Israel include: Hosting hundreds of Pastor s events, Standing with Israel Meetings and Nights to Honor Israel across the country. Uniting Christians around the world in prayer and action on behalf of Israel during Christians United for Israel Sunday. Bringing thousands of pro-israel Christians together at our CUFI Washington Summit in July for three days of education and activism on behalf of Israel. Informing hundreds of thousands of Christians about the current situation in Israel and the Middle East through CUFI s weekly email updates and periodic action alerts. Equipping tomorrow s leaders to become effective advocates for Israel through our rapidly growing CUFI on Campus program. Reaching out to America s Spanish-speaking churches through our CUFI Español program. Reaching out to African American churches through our African American program. All of these undertakings will require a great deal of time and resources. As we rise to meet these challenges, we pray that we will have your active participation and financial support. We pray that you consider becoming a CUFI member today.

What People are Saying about CUFI My friend John Hagee has shown this steadfast support. But I know you will agree with me when I say in a larger sense, this organization was founded more than 4,000 years ago with the first words that God spoke to Abraham in Genesis 12:1 Now get thee unto the land that will show thee, and I will make thee a great nation. - Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) Christians United for Israel is part of God s plan.
