An Order for Compline The Lord Almighty grant us a peaceful night and a perfect end. Amen. Our help is in the Name of the Lord; The maker of heaven and earth. Let us confess our sins to God

Almighty God, our heavenly Father: We have sinned against you, through our own fault, in thought, and word, and deed, and in what we have left undone.

For the sake of your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, forgive us all our offenses; and grant that we may serve you in newness of life, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

May the Almighty God grant us forgiveness of all our sins, and the grace and comfort of the Holy Spirit. Amen. O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

It is Well (With My Soul) Hillsong United

When peace like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say It is well, it is well, with my soul

chorus It is well (it is well) With my soul (with my soul) It is well, It is well with my soul

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought My sin, not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, o my soul

chorus It is well (it is well) With my soul (with my soul) It is well, It is well with my soul

But, Lord, tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait, The sky, not the grave, is our goal; Oh, trump of the angel! Oh, voice of the Lord! Blessed hope, Blessed rest of my soul!

chorus It is well (it is well) With my soul (with my soul) It is well, It is well with my soul

And Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, Even so, it is well with my soul.

chorus It is well (it is well) With my soul (with my soul) It is well, It is well with my soul

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Thanks be to God.

Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit; For you have redeemed me, O Lord, O God of truth.

Keep us, O Lord, as the apple of your eye; Hide us under the shadow of your wings. Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

For all victims of violence, and particularly for those affected by the shooting in Parkland, Florida, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

For those who have been injured, that they might be restored to health, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

For those who are afraid, that they may know Your perfect love which casts out fear, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

For those who mourn, that they may be comforted in their distress, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

For all who have died, that they may be received into Your compassionate embrace, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

For the first responders, law enforcement, chaplains, nurses, and all others who work to restore order, heal the wounded, and care for the needs of the community, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

That the world may one day be free of violence, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

That we may no longer desire revenge when we are wronged, but Your justice, which is mercy and grace, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

That each of us might be empowered and equipped to work toward a just and peaceful society, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

That all people might be united to seek the cause of Your Kingdom, we pray to You, O Lord: Lord, hear our prayer

We ask Your forgiveness for the ways in which we ourselves are complicit in the systemic problem of violence in the world. Lord, have mercy upon us

We ask Your forgiveness for any harm we have done to one another. Lord, have mercy upon us

We ask Your forgiveness for any unkind words we have spoken against one another. Lord, have mercy upon us

We ask Your forgiveness for any prejudice, bitterness, or hate we harbor in our hearts. Lord, have mercy upon us

We ask Your forgiveness for the times when we have been slow to forgive. Lord, have mercy upon us

We ask Your forgiveness for all we do, think, and say which falls short of Your command to us to love one another. Lord, have mercy upon us

Lord, have mercy upon us, And help us to show mercy to one another *Silence is kept for a moment*

The Lord s Prayer Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.

The Lord s Prayer Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.

Lord, hear our prayer; And let our cry come to you. Let us pray.

Be present, O merciful God, and protect us through the hours of this night, so that we who are wearied by the changes and chances of this life may rest in your eternal changelessness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

*Silence may be kept, and free intercessions and thanksgivings may be offered* Guide us waking O Lord, and guard us sleeping; that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace.

Lord, you now have set your servant free * to go in peace as you have promised; For these eyes of mine have seen the Savior, * whom you have prepared for all the world to see:

A light to enlighten the nations, * and the glory of your people Israel. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Guide us waking, O Lord, and guard us sleeping; that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace. Let us bless the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Sing a New Church Delores Dufner

Summoned by the God who made us Rich in our diversity Gathered in the name of Jesus Richer still in unity

Let us bring the gifts that differ And in splendid, varied ways Sing a new church into being One in faith and love and praise

Radiant risen from the water Robed in holiness and light Male and female in God s image Male and female, God s delight

Let us bring the gifts that differ And expand this very place Sing a new church into being One in faith and love and praise

Trust the goodness of creation Trust the Spirit strong within Dare to dream the vision promised Sprung from seed of what has been

Let us bring the gifts that differ And in splendid, varied ways Sing a new church into being One in faith and love and praise

Bring the hopes of every nation Bring the art of every race Weave a song of peace and justice Let it sound through time and space

Let us bring the gifts that differ And expand this very place Sing a new church into being One in faith and love and praise

Drawn together at one table All the human family Shape a circle ever wider And a people ever free

Let us bring the gifts that differ And in splendid, varied ways Sing a new church into being One in faith and love and praise

The almighty and merciful Lord, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, bless us and keep us. Amen.
