Ken and The St. Clare Hospitality Ministry will present a film entitled Paul, Apostle of Christ Wednesday, August 29, at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center Risking his life, Luke ventures to Rome to visit Paul -- the apostle who's bound in chains and held captive in Nero's darkest and bleakest prison cell. Haunted by the shadows of his past misdeeds, Paul wonders if he's been forgotten as he awaits his grisly execution. Before Paul's death, Luke resolves to write another book that details the birth of what will come to be known as the church. This movie is 1 hour 48 minutes in length. All are welcome. Monthly Church Cleaning Friday, September 7, following the 8 AM Mass. Come join the fun. Nonperishable Food Collection Saturday and Sunday, September 1 & 2 Needed items are flour, sugar, tea, coffee, cereal, canned pasta, cake mix, canned or instant potatoes, juice, mayo, ketchup and canned fruit. St. Clare Stewardship Ministry Corner The next Stewardship Ministry meeting will be announced in the next bulletin. All are invited. The Prayer Ministry is dedicated to those who request our prayers. To join this ministry or to send a prayer intention, please write in the Book of Intentions near the Baptistry or e-mail mbrockmann@cox.net. The Respect Life Ministry seeks to promote and protect the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. The ministry meets the Third Wednesday of every month at 8:30 AM from April through September, in the Parish Center. Rosary is said before the 8 AM Mass on the first Friday of every month year-round. All are welcome. The Hospitality Ministry provides a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for members of the St. Clare community and visitors, as well as new parishioners, to meet and interact with one another in a positive way. This ministry provides opportunities to promote parish fellowship and, when necessary, to assist the Pastor with special events. Meetings take place the first Thursday of every month at 8:30 AM in the Parish Center. *The next meeting will be on September 6. All are welcome. The Helping Hands Ministry reaches out to those who are needy, elderly, sick or in need of bereavement consolation. This ministry meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 4 PM in the Parish Center. Enter through the door in the rear parking area. Please feel free to come to these meetings; new faces are always welcome. The next meeting will be on September 4. AA meets every Thursday night from 6 to 7 PM in the St. Clare Parish Center.
