Service Hymns Stand up for Jesus Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross; Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss. From victory unto victory His army shall He lead, Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the solemn watchword hear; If while ye sleep He suffers, away with shame and fear; Where er ye meet with evil, within you or without, Charge for the God of battles, and put the foe to rout. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey; Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day. Ye that are brave now serve Him against unnumbered foes; Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone; The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own. Put on the Gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer; Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, each soldier to his post, Close up the broken column, and shout through all the host: Make good the loss so heavy, in those that still remain, And prove to all around you that death itself is gain. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long; This day the noise of battle, the next the victor s song. To those who vanquish evil a crown of life shall be; They with the King of Glory shall reign eternally. Farther Along Tempted and tried, we're oft made to wonder Why it should be thus all the day long, While there are others living about us, Never molested, though in the wrong. Refrain: Farther along we'll know all about it, Farther along we'll understand why; Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine, We'll understand it all by and by. When death has come and taken our loved ones, It leaves our home so lonely and drear, Then do we wonder why others prosper Living so wicked year after year. Faithful til death, said our loving Master A few more days to labor and wait, Toils of the road will then seem as nothing As we sweep through the beautiful gate. When we see Jesus, coming in glory, When He comes from His home in the sky, Then we shall meet Him in that bright mansion, We'll understand it all by and by. Count Your Blessings When upon life s billows you are tempest-tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord has done. Refrain: Count your blessings, name them one by one, Count your blessings, see what God has done! Count your blessings, name them one by one, Count your many blessings, see what God has done. Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly, And you will keep singing as the days go by. When you look at others with their lands and gold, Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold; Count your many blessings *money cannot buy [*wealth can never buy] Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high. So, amid the conflict whether great or small, Do not be discouraged, God is over all; Count your many blessings, angels will attend, Help and comfort give you to your journey s end.
Graveside Service Prayer... Pastor Ezra Clarke Scripture Reading... Pastor Moses Espinosa Hymn What A Friend We Have In Jesus... Congregation Committal... Pastor Michael Irby Hymn When We All Get to Heaven.....Congregation Hymn When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder... Congregation Benediction... Pastor Michael Irby What A Friend We Have In Jesus What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; Take it to the Lord in prayer! Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; Take it to the Lord in prayer! Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer! Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In his arms he ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there. When We All Get To Heaven Sing the wondrous love of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace In the mansions bright and blessed, He ll prepare for us a place. Refrain: When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be When we all see Jesus, We ll sing and shout the victory! While we walk the pilgrim pathway, clouds will over-spread the sky But when traveling days are over, not a shadow, not a sigh. Let us then be true and faithful, trusting, serving every day Just one glimpse of Him in glory, will the toils of life repay. Onward to the prize before us! Soon His beauty we ll behold; Soon the pearly gates will open; We shall tread the streets of gold. When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder When the Trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more, And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore, And the roll is called up yonder, I ll be there Refrain : When the roll is called up yonder, when the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, when the roll is called up yonder, I ll be there On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise, And the glory of His resurrection share when His chosen ones shall gather To their home beyond the skies, and the roll is called up yonder, I ll be there Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun, Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care then when all of life is over And our work on earth is done and the roll is called up yonder, I ll be there.
