Portable War Room Not everyone has an extra closet in their home that they can turn into a War Room so we have put together this Portable War Room for you. You can record Scripture verses, praises and petitions and collect pictures to go along with your prayers. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6 When you are ready to go in, you can turn any space into your very own War Room. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. He not only allows it but He desires it. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though He is not far from any one of us. Acts 17:27 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of Him. 1 John 5:14-15 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7 And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13 In Jesus name is not a set of magic words that we tack on to the end of any prayer to get it answered. It refers to our relationship with Him. Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3 Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13 Our relationship with God is the key to answered prayer. We need to maintain a right relationship with Him. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9 So repent [change your inner self your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day] Acts 3:19AMP "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." Matthew 26:41 Perhaps the greatest challenge to prayer is praying according to God s will "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will." "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may Your will be done." Matthew 26:39b, 42b Your will be done is not something to be said lightly. It has to be the attitude of our heart and we have to trust Him enough to except His will when it comes. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God s will is His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 Our responsibility in uncertainty is always to return to what should be our default prayer. Father, glorify your name!" John 12:28a Even though God knows better than we do what we need, He wants us to ask humbly. You do not have because you do not ask God. James 4:2

If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If you aren t getting an answer, check your heart If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me Psalm 66:18KJV check your motives When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives James 4:3 Remember that God s answer may not look like what you were expecting but it will be what is best for you and will make you more Christ-like. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose to be conformed to the likeness of His Son Romans 8:28-29 Sometimes it s just a matter of waiting on God s perfect timing Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up Luke 18:1-8 Don't give up. Even Jesus prayed the same thing over and over in the garden (Matthew 26:36-46) So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing. Matthew 26:44 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. Hebrews 10:36 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:13-14 Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. Isaiah 64:4 Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength Isaiah 40:31 But when you ask But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. James 1:6-7 Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" There are instructions to help you with this available at the Information Desk, as well. Praying Scripture Ann Dunham once said What better way to pray in God s will than to pray His own words. Praying Scripture can add a new dimension to your prayer life and get you started studying the Bible. For example, if you were praying for your family, you could pray Help us not to worry about what will happen tomorrow. (Matt 6:34) Help us to fear You and keep Your commands. (Deut 6:2) Help us to be found in Christ (Phil 3:9) and to stand firm giving ourselves fully to the work of the Lord; (1 Cor 15:58) that we would press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of us. (Phil 3:12) Help us to run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (Heb 12:1) Help us to trust in the Lord and not lean on our own understanding (Prov 3:5) The book of Psalms is a great place to find verses to praise the Lord. You can look up verses on a particular topic of concern in a concordance. Biblegateway.com is a very useful resource that also has an app for your smart phone.
