CHRISTIAN OUTREACH & SOCIAL CONCERNS 11. RECRUITMENT FOR VOLUNTEER TUTORS & COORDINATORS FOR TUITION PROGRAM 2018 The Christian Outreach and Social Concerns (COSC) Ministry is thankful for the volunteer tutors who have responded to the call to provide free academic coaching for students in the Pre-School, Primary and Secondary levels in 2018. The COSC plans to continue building a sustainable Tuition Program in the following areas: a) A Language & Literacy program targeted at Pre-School children b) An Academic Coaching program for Primary School students focusing on Math and English c) An Academic Coaching program for Secondary School students focusing on Math and English d) A self-sustaining volunteer-run tuition program. We appeal for volunteers to come forward to partner with us and support these needy students within our Ang Mo Kio community. The program schedule is as follows: Pre-School and Primary Level sessions will be held on Saturdays from 10.00am to 12.00pm Secondary Level Sessions will be on either Wednesdays or Thursdays from 8.00pm to 9.30pm Sessions will be held at our church premises during school terms. More than 60 students are currently in the program for 2018. AMKMC 40th ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE 14. BLESS We are on the intentional journey of BLESS (20 May to 9 Sep 2018) Who Can I BLESS Today? B= BEGIN WITH A PRAYER Write a list of people that you could BLESS (Page 6 & 7 of BLESS journal) Begin praying to our Lord for wisdom how to BLESS these persons. As you commune with God, be sensitive and still and listen to what He may be saying to you. God speaks to us not necessary with a loud voice or claps, through a loud microphone but very often with a small still voice that resonates with our inner person. He also does so by circumstances, everyday encounters and through others in our daily life. Journal it (Pages 9 to 11 of BLESS Journal). You will be surprised by the gems of wisdom God has given to you. A BLESS billboard has been specially installed outside our sanctuary. Don t wait, encourage someone with your testimony. AMKMC will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year - 40 years of God s faithfulness. As part of the celebration, we invite you to send in recordings of yourself singing the song Many Gifts, One Spirit, then we will blend your videos together to create a virtual choir. Who is invited? PRAYER MINISTRY 17. A CALL TO AN Extended Prayer and InterCession - E.P.I.C. 2018 is a special year. It is the 40th anniversary of our church. It is also the 40th year of Billy Graham s prophecy about Singapore being the Antioch of Asia. We are responding to a conviction that God is leading us to come together as a church for extended time of prayer and intercession to pray for ourselves, our church, Singapore and the world.
