Faith Is The Victory This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4 Encamped along the hills of light, Ye Christian soldiers, rise And press the battle ere the night Shall veil the glowing skies. Against the foe in vales below Let all our strength be hurled; Faith is the victory, we know, That overcomes the world. Chorus Faith is the victory! Faith is the victory! Oh glorious victory That overcomes the world! His banner over us is love, Our sword the Word of God; We tread the road the saints above With shouts of triumph trod. By faith they, like a whirlwind's breath, Swept on o'er ev ry field; The faith by which they conquered death Is still our shining shield. On ev ry hand the foe we find Drawn up in dread array; Let tents of ease be left behind And onward to the fray. Salvation's helmet on each head, With truth all girt about, The earth shall tremble 'neath our tread And echo with our shout. To him that overcomes the foe White raiment shall be giv'n; Before the angels he shall know His name confessed in heav'n. Then onward from the hills of light, Our hearts with love aflame, We'll vanquish all the hosts of night In Jesus' conqu'ring name. Then when all of life is over, And our work on earth is done, And the roll is called up yonder, James Milton Black W ords: Public Domain Music: Public Domain CCLI License # 563168

Matthew 6:5-14 New International Version (NIV) And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. What A Friend We Have In Jesus In everything present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer! Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; Are we weak and heavy laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our Refuge; Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? In His arms He'll take and shield thee; Thou wilt find a solace there.
