We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, and that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God. They are without error in the original text, and they are the final authority for faith and conduct. Joshua 1:8; 2 Samuel 22:31; Psalms 12:6; Psalms 19: 7-11; Isaiah 40:8; Jeremiah 23:29; Matthew 4:4; Matthew 5:17-18; Matthew 24:35; Luke 21:33; John 17:17; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:24-25; 2 Peter 1:20-21 We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in one God, and that the Godhead eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of the same honor and obedience. Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3; John 10:30; John 14:9b & 11; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 1:4-6 We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ in one person with two distinct natures. We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ. He is fully God and fully man, one person with two distinct natures. We believe that He was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe that He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, was raised bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and advocate. Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-23; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-18; John 10:30; John 11:25-27; Acts 1:9-11; Ephesians 1:20; Ephesians 2:5-10; Philippians 2:6-7 We believe that all mankind is lost eternally without Jesus Christ. We believe that man was originally created in the image of God, but sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Therefore, everyone is eternally lost and is incapable of saving himself or

herself. Every person is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit. God in His mercy sent His son Jesus Christ so that all who will trust in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 3: Genesis 6:5-6; Psalms 51:5; John 3:16-18; Romans 1:18; Romans 3:10-12; Romans 3:20 & 23; Romans 6:23; Romans 7:21-25; Romans 8:1; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:1 We believe in the substitutionary atonement as well as the physical bodily resurrection and ascension into Heaven of Jesus Christ. We believe in the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ by His death on the cross for all who trust in Him. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation. We believe in His physical bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God the Father, and is the only mediator between God and man, who continually makes intercession for His own. Matthew 1:21-23; Luke 1:34-35; John 3:16; Acts 1:9-11; Acts 2:24; Romans 8:34; Romans 10: 9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15:20-21; 2 Corinthians 5:15,17 & 21; Ephesians 1:20; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 1:3-4; Hebrews 4:14-15; Hebrews 9:24; Hebrews 10:19-22 We believe that the only way to heaven is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, apart from any good works on our part. We believe that the only way to heaven is through the free grace of God, who gave Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, to be our representative and substitute for our sins. We believe that in the shedding of Jesus blood on the cross, He was the perfect all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. We believe that all who by faith alone, apart from any good works on their part, receive Jesus Christ, are born-again of the Holy Spirit. Thus, they become children of God and are eternally saved. Further, we believe that there is no other way to receive salvation. John 3:16; John 3:36; John 5:24; John 6:28-29; John 6:40; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Acts 13:38b-39; Acts 15:11; Romans 3:21-25; Romans 5:1-2a; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 3:11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:4-9 &13; Titus 3:5-8; Hebrews 9:22; Revelation 1:5 We believe in the physical return of Jesus Christ, and that everyone will spend eternity consciously and bodily in either heaven or hell. We believe in the physical return of Jesus Christ to earth again. We believe that He will come personally, visibly and bodily, and will consummate history and fulfill the plan of God. We believe that the time of the second coming of Jesus Christ to earth is known only to God. We further believe that all who have trusted in Him will share in His glory eternally, while those who have not believed in Him will spend eternity consciously separated from God in everlasting punishment. Zechariah 14:3; Matthew 24:30; Matthew 24:36; Matthew 25:31-46; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Romans 8:16-17; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:11-14 Gospel Volunteers, Inc. s Mission Statement The mission of Gospel Volunteers, Inc. is to present the Biblical truths of Jesus Christ, develop Christian leaders, strengthen the faith of individuals and families, and promote global evangelism.

Box 250, Speculator, NY 12164 Tel: 518-548-4831; Fax: 518-548-2719 TylerN@CAMP-of-the-WOODS.org LIFT Letter of Intent By signing and dating below I,, express my formal intention to participate in LIFT Discipleship for the spring term 2017, LIFT 37. I understand that CAMP-of-the-WOODS is making logistical and financial commitments to provide for my participation in LIFT. If for any reason I will be unable to participate in LIFT 37, I will immediately contact and inform the LIFT Director (Tim Trezise) or LIFT Associate Director (Tyler Nelson) of the change. The dates for LIFT 37 are as follows: Start: 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 9 th, 2017 End: 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10 th, 2017 Signature Date

LIFT Code of Conduct The LIFT student chooses, freely and willingly, to impose upon himself or herself rules for behavior which serve both the long-range interests of the ministry and the immediate good of the individual members. While we do not view these expectations as an index of maturity in Christ, we do regard violations as a breach of integrity because each member has voluntarily chosen to associate with and accept these standards. In the effort to maintain Christian standards of operation and to bring glory and honor to God, GOSPEL VOLUNTEERS, INC. has adopted the following general Code of Conduct for all LIFT students. CAMP-of-the-WOODS: Will not condone practices which Scripture forbids. Such activities include but are not limited to the following: occult practices, sexual relations outside of marriage, homosexual practice, drunkenness, theft, profanity, and dishonesty. By their very nature, sins of the spirit such as covetousness, jealousy, pride, and lust are more difficult to discern. They lie at the heart of the relationship between the individual and God and are of central concern to the GVI community. Prohibits harassment or the use of negative stereotypes for any reason. Condemns the abuse of alcoholic beverages, drugs, and tobacco products. Under no circumstances shall any LIFT student use or possess tobacco products and/or alcoholic beverages on the premises of CAMP-of-the-WOODS. This includes all COTW-owned staff accommodations. LIFT students will not consume any alcoholic beverages or tobacco products during their time at LIFT including while at restaurants, during semester breaks, or other social gatherings, and there must be no odor of the abovementioned products on your person while you are on the premises. Upholds integrity as a core value of the staff community. Staff members are expected to take responsibility for their own violations of all behavioral guidelines and demonstrate commitment to the value of integrity in word and deed. It is our expectation that we hold each other accountable to this Code of Conduct. Not adhering to this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. LIFT Contract The most important law, answered Jesus, is this: Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31 I,, commit to: Joining LIFT with the primary goal of growing in my love for God and as a disciple of Christ. Understanding that to be a leader, I need first to be a servant, being willing to put the interests of others before my own interests and leading by example. A semester of hard work (spiritually, academically, physically, through service, and also in many other areas). Doing the required work for all the academic classes, including spiritual disciplines. Maintaining a positive spirit and demeanor, especially during the most trying and stressful times. Being flexible and understanding that situations, plans, and demands on me may change without prior notice. Being willing to give up personal activities and desires that may distract me from building relationships and investing in the LIFT community. Refusing to act on any romantic impulse, communicate any romantic interest, or begin any new romantic relationship during the LIFT semester. NOTE: no existing romantic relationships between LIFT students are allowed, which means you and your boyfriend or girlfriend cannot participate as students in LIFT together. If there are any romantic relationship questions or issues you have before you agree to the semester, please contact me (TylerN@COTW.org) and we can talk about it. Doing whatever is necessary to be in the required physical shape at the start of the semester and disclosing any pre-existing and/or new physical limitations before the start of LIFT. Obeying all of the rules as laid out in the LIFT Handbook, all CAMP-of-the-WOODS policies, and any other rules/policies that are added upon arrival. Reading the LIFT Handbook in its entirety BEFORE arriving. Investing in every member of the LIFT community. Finishing the LIFT semester (January 9 th May 10 th ). I also understand that I cannot leave on weekends unless I am in the wedding party of a wedding or attending a family funeral. In addition, I understand that I will be provided room and board during my time at LIFT at no charge and that I am not promised any financial compensation, as my involvement with LIFT is on a volunteer basis. I understand that any failure to comply with any of the above or any misrepresentation of myself or my abilities prior to my arrival at LIFT may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from LIFT. LIFT Contract Airline and Raising Support Addendum Each semester LIFT participates in a mission trip central to the heart of CAMP-of-the-WOODS (the parent ministry of LIFT). As a result, missions is an anticipated section of our LIFT budget. This enables us to subsidize a large part of the cost of each LIFT mission trip, while the rest is covered by the funds that each LIFTer raises or contributes. As you know, we will help you raise that money while you are here. We are actively seeking to keep costs as low as possible for this trip. One of our largest cost categories is airline tickets, and one way to keep this category manageable is to purchase tickets well in advance. We would like to potentially purchase these tickets before you arrive. We are eager to purchase a ticket for you, however, before we do so, we want to ensure that we are on the same page. By signing and returning this addendum, you are indicating that you understand that if you decide not to attend LIFT 37 you will be responsible to repay CAMP-of-the-WOODS for the cost of your airline ticket. You will also be responsible for raising $1100 for the mission trip. You will receive instructions and guidance in the process once at LIFT. You are responsible for paying CAMP-of-the- WOODS the balance of money not raised for the trip. This promises to be a wonderful semester of LIFT and an incredible mission trip. Please sign and return this addendum, so that we can move forward with making the necessary preparations. I,, commit to being a part of LIFT 37 and raising/paying support needed for the mission trip. I fully understand that an airline ticket may be purchased for me prior to my arrival at LIFT. I also understand that if I should decide not to attend the LIFT program at any point, I will be responsible to reimburse CAMP-of-the-WOODS for the full cost of the airline ticket. Card #1, Matthew 5:1-10 Matthew 5:1-16, NIV 5 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them. The Beatitudes He said: 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Card #2, Matthew 5:11-16 11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Salt and Light 13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
