Statement of Purpose and Positions ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF STATEMENTS & POSITIONS We acknowledge that KACS is committed to providing its students and parents with a Christian environment that is conducive to the Christian growth and maturity of the student and support of the family. We understand that the following statements define KACS and its staff, their purpose and core beliefs. We understand that the Statement of Faith expresses the primary doctrine that will be taught in the classroom and that the staff will not promote or endorse any particular denomination. We agree with this position for the purpose of unity and fairness to each student and understand that other doctrinal issues will be referred back to the family and church for final authority. As part of KACS, we desire to remain united in the salvation and love of Christ, avoiding any dissension that may be caused by denominational distinctions. MISSION STATEMENT King s Academy Christian School (KACS) is a private, Christian, university model school whose purpose is to provide students with a comprehensive, college-preparatory education that prepares each student for life. We seek to develop the whole child academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically through an educational format utilizing both trained classroom instruction and individualized parent involvement. Statement of Faith 1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15; 2 Peter 1:21). 2. We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons--father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30). 3. We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11). 4. We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith alone we are saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5). 5. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5: 28-29). 6. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28). 7. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8: 13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18). Non-Denominational Position This ministry's Statement of Faith is fundamental to basic Christian tenets and contains those doctrines to which we unreservedly adhere and teach. It is our desire to maintain this position and to do so in all fairness to each school and family. In honoring this desire concerning the outreach of this ministry, there shall be no attempt made by any staff or board member to promote or disparage any doctrinal or denominational beliefs, practices, or positions regarding issues upon which the ministry itself has assumed no official stance. Included are denominational positions regarding: church government-authority; time and mode of baptism; security of the believer; timing of future events; second work of grace baptism of the Holy Spirit; sinless perfection; gift of the Spirit tongues, interpretation of tongues, healing, miracle working, discerning of spirits. In the event secondary doctrine is brought up, students will be referred back to the family and church for final instruction. We desire to remain united in the salvation and love of Christ, avoiding the dissension that may be caused by denominational distinctives. Page 6 of 8

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY King s Academy Christian School admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Father or Legal Guardian Date Mother or Legal Guardian Date Student Date FINANCIAL REGISTRATION AGREEMENT Arbitration Statement: The following arbitration agreement has been established to define the financial relationship of King's Academy Christian School and the undersigned individuals: The parties to this agreement are Christians and believe that the Bible commands them to make every effort to live at peace and to resolve disputes with each other in private or within the Christian community in conformity with the Biblical injunctions of 1 Cor. 6:1-8, Matt. 5:23-24, and Matt. 18:15-20. Therefore, the parties agree that any claim or dispute arising out of, or related to, this agreement or to any aspect of the school relationship, including any claim or statutory claims, shall be settled by Biblically-based mediation. If the resolution of the dispute and reconciliation do not result from mediation, the matter shall then be submitted to an independent and objective arbitrator for binding arbitration. The parties agree that the mediation and arbitration process will be conducted in accordance with the "Rules of Procedure for Christian Conciliation" ("Rules") contained in the Peacemaker Ministries booklet Guidelines for Christian Conciliation. Consistent with these "Rules," each party to the agreement shall agree to the selection of an arbitrator. The parties agree that if there is an impasse in the selection of the arbitrator, the Institute for Christian Conciliation division of Peacemakers Ministries in Billings, Montana (406-256-1583), shall be asked to provide the name of a qualified person who will serve in that capacity. Consistent with the "Rules," the arbitrator shall issue a written opinion within a reasonable timeframe agree upon by the parties. The parties agree that these methods shall be the sole remedy for any controversy or claim arising out of the school relationship or this agreement and expressly waive their right to file a lawsuit against one another in any civil court for such disputes, except to enforce the legally binding arbitration decision. In the event that arbitration is required, the cost for such services will fall solely on the party that is deemed to be in the wrong by the arbitrator. If the arbitrator determines both parties to be at fault, then the cost of the arbitration services shall be shared 50/50 by both parties. STATEMENT OF FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY In enrolling one or more of our children in King's Academy Christian School, a school which affirms the comprehensive responsibility of the parent for the education of their children, we acknowledge that we are responsible to be familiar Page 7 of 8

with and consult the policies of the school as published in the current catalog, student handbook, and other official means of communication, such as monthly announcements, before making decisions affecting our child(ren) or our family s relationship with King's Academy Christian School. We further agree that should difficulties arise from our failure to be familiar with or consult published school policies (including, for example, the school refund policy, as stated in the student handbook under "Financial Policies") when making decisions affecting our relationship or our child(ren)'s relationship with the school, we will accept full responsibility for the results of our decisions. In addition, we agree to attend parent meetings (possibly 2 meetings during the school year) that are intended to help parents better understand their role in a University-Model School, and we agree to meet the parent requirements associated with the "Parent Resource Review List." We also understand that we are financially responsible in full for all costs incurred by our student in enrolling at King s Academy Christian School. Among these costs are, but not limited to: application fee, registration fee, supply fees, tuition, late payment fees and the costs associated with collecting any past due fees through arbitration and/or collection agencies.
