Thank you to all who donated to the garage sale held at Linda Michalski s home. The weather was not the best but the sale was very successful. The total is $1,036. That will provide scholarships for 4 students. Thanks to Linda, Brian and Terry for all their work. Carolyn Wemple, PIM Team Leader Cana Lutheran Church 2016 EMR Stewardship Preliminary Report The 2016 Every Member Response Stewardship Campaign was held from April 3 through April 24, 2016. The theme for this years EMR Emphasis was Embracing Our Future Year Two. Stewardship talks were delivered by Wes Thompson, Chris Golembiewski, and Hal Wasner. As of May 10, 2016, fifty-one (51) Cana families and individuals provided Estimates of Giving (EOG), including two new EOG s. Fifty families and individuals offered commitments of Time and Talent (T&T) out of approximately 80 active Cana giving units. The annual estimated giving for the 51 EOG s totals $165, 482. Six families/individuals who offered EOG s last year have not yet offered EOG s this year, for a variety of reasons. Some may yet offer EOG s for 2016/2017. In addition there are approximately 30 Cana individuals and families who historically have not made offering estimates. Our General Fund member-giving target for 2016/2017 is $205,000. Thus, we need to rely on approximately 30 families/giving units who have not submitted EOG s for the coming year to offer a total of $40,000 during the coming year to achieve our target Thank you to all who participated in this year s EMR and to all who continue to generously offer their funds and time and talents to support Cana s ministries throughout the year. May God bless Cana as we seek to carry out God s mission in this time and place. Summary Total Giving Units. 80 Total Time and Talent commitment sheets 50 Total Estimates Of Giving.. 51 Total value of 51 EOG s.$165,000 Unpledged and not -yet -pledged offerings expected. $40,000 Respectfully Submitted. Hal Wasner, Stewardship Team After several years of scheduling the nursery staff, I have decided it's no longer something I can do. I am looking for someone to take my place. The biggest responsibility is assigning someone to staff the nursery on Sundays during service. I have a list of a few people in a rotation. As time allowed, I also cleaned the nursery and the toys, bringing new things in and taking old toys out. I would like someone to take over the scheduling in time for September's calendar. I have scheduled staff in the nursery through August. Please let me know if you are interested. I am happy to answer any questions or to talk further about it. Thank you! Tracy Hennessey (tlhennessey@hotmail.com or 248-414-7949 or catch me at church!)
