A Vision... God Is Doing Incredible Things At Rosemont. Over the last several years, we have experienced tremendous growth, and I believe that growth will continue for many years to come. As we near completion of 39 years and embark on our 40th year as a church family, it is evident that God has been preparing and leading us to something much bigger. Over the past several months, the future of Rosemont and God s vision for this church have been the source of much prayer. After seeking God s direction and asking Him for clarity, this vision has taken shape. Our church has faithfully served the Lord for over 39 years, and we have all accomplished wonderful things together; but I believe that through the fulfillment of this vision, Rosemont s greatest days are truly ahead. The following pages contain this. As you read, you will find opportunities that will allow you to join God s work in building the Kingdom of God through this church. This is your official invitation to get on the train before it leaves the station. Use these pages as a guide for your personal prayer time and for discovering your place in carrying out this vision for Rosemont Baptist Church. If we are to reach our full potential for God, we must work together as the body of Christ. The vision will not be accomplished by one pastor or only a few leaders. Everyone must commit themselves to the journey. I strongly believe that God will call every member of this body to carry out the vision and to add to what has already been revealed. While this vision may take years to fulfill, we must be committed to becoming the church that God has called us to be. I look forward to sharing more about this vision with you over the coming months. Vision Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future. In Christ, Max

OurJourney Leadership Leadership Where We ve Been and Where Our Journey Will Take Us To develop comprehensive, effective leadership courses that will build up, train, and encourage all forms of leadership in the future God began this church out of the hearts of 18 people who gathered To make these courses available to anyone who feels called to leadership within our church, in the fall of 1967. Over the past 39 years, it has been evident that from care group leaders to teachers to greeters God s hand was upon this church as we grew each year in number For this course to train and equip our next generation of leaders and in love for one another and for Christ. In the past six years, we have experienced the fastest period of growth in our history. Since 2000, Rosemont has grown 83% in Sunday morning attendance. This church growth has occurred in a community that has experienced very little growth over that same period of time. As we look to the future, all indicators point to tremendous growth To find people who currently develop and train leadership in their professions to aid in the development of this leadership training course To provide PLACE ministry classes to help people identify their natural leadership abilities within the body of Christ in the Rosemont area over the next several years (KIA Plant coming, Atlanta growth, Fort Benning expansion). If we ve experienced 83% growth in an area that hasn t grown, how many more souls will God Pray that God will call and equip you to be in a leadership position in the future send as this area does grow? It is our responsibility, as the body of Be available to aid in developing a leadership training course Christ, to reach out and embrace everyone that Christ sends our way. God is not calling us to manufacture growth ourselves it has already come. He is calling us to reach more people for Him, and to prepare for future growth. Our ability to minister to this tremendous growth will be most effective when every individual in the body of Christ seeks to become all that God has called them to be personally. Please take your personal involvement in this vision seriously and wholeheartedly.

A Vision... Why Do We Need A Vision? Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish It is clear in scripture that we must seek direction in order to be prepared for what God has in store for our church. Why Do We Need To Be Specific In Writing This Vision Out? Habakkuk 2:2-3 says: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. This brochure is designed to convey some of the marvelous things God is ready to do at Rosemont in His kingdom work so that our church body may see the vision, embrace it, and run with it. So How Will We Accomplish This Vision As A Church? Rosemont s mission statement must be the engine that drives the vision and brings continued growth. Everything we do must be centered on the mission of our church. As each member lives out the mission statement in their own lives, this vision will become reality. Mission Statement: Reaching every person With The Gospel And Leading Them To A Fully Mature Relationship With Christ.

Spiri tual Growth A Visual Spiritual Growth Theme As God provided this vision for Rosemont, the need for a visual depiction of our mission statement was realized. Through scripture study and prayer, an illustration of seeds being planted, taking root, and growing into fully mature trees was envisioned. The following are a few of the many verses that describe this visual depiction: Psalm 1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Isaiah 61:3b They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 61:11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. A new vision wall, located between the worship center and the breezeway will depict, symbolize, and remind us of our continual process in spiritual growth and will become a focal point for this theme. This depiction will flow into each ministry area of the church, conveying God s transforming power in our lives from the youngest to the oldest. These new themes include: A new church logo with the slogan, Experience New Life, symbolizing the sprouting of a seed to new life, giving members, newcomers and nonbelievers hope in a living God Deeper Roots, a new theme for church-wide discipleship classes, symbolizing our growth to fully mature Christians Scatter the Seed, a name to represent the overall mission strategy of the church, symbolizing spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ, including existing missions organizations (such as Sunshiners WMU ), mission trips, and other growing missions ministries The Wellspring, formerly known as the Rosemont Bookstore, symbolizing the nourishment needed for Christian growth My Father s Garden...Where Seeds are Planted, a symbolic name for preschool ministry Our Town the Place to Grow, a ministry where children are being watered and grown through God s Word A student-named activity center, The Shed, where high schoolers worship at DiVine, middle schoolers worship at Fusion, and all students of the youth department fellowship at The Shady Tree Café OASIS for Older Americans Sharing in Service (although already established, this name fits providentially with our new visual, spiritual growth theme) Pray that God will continue to pour out ideas that represent His power to grow us as the body of Christ.
