I cannot believe that Rhonda's life has been cut so short. Rhonda was such a beautiful, precious person that touched the souls of all she met! She brought a ray of sunshine to each encounter she had with me, and made whatever we had to go through worth it. Ultimately it
ALL was worth it; but at times, it seemed questionable. Rhonda was the individual that made those dark clouds disappear! They say you hold a place in Heaven by the good "works" you do here on earth; I can assure you, she is at the TOP in Heaven! I am sure her family misses her terribly, and I hope they find some comfort in knowing how much we all LOVED her and we wish them comfort and peace, after this tragic loss. DEBORAH ANN WILLIAMSON, AUGUST 17, 2013 I am sadden by the news I just received of your passing. Rhonda was and will always be my favorite nurse. You gave me hope and inspiration through your words of wisdom during my recovery there in Dallas after my transplant. You will forever hold a place in my heart. To the family of Rhonda Newman, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to everyone and I'm sure you know that she touched the lives of so many. Whenever I was in town she was sure to stop in and say hello and see how "the kiddos" as she would always put it were doing. She even had a picture of the kiddos in her office somewhere. Rhonda you will be missed, but until we meet again...continue to smile that beautiful smile! Rest in Paradise! KEMBERLIE HORNBEAK, AUGUST 17, 2013 OMG. I am just learning of this and my heart is broken. Rhonda was one of the first people Garry and I encountered in the whole transplant process. She was the most loving, gentle and compassionate souls I have ever encountered. She is the reason I am now in school preparing for a carrier in the medical field. Her dedication knew no end. You,Dear Angel, will be sorely missed by all whose lives you touched. PATTY VAUGHAN, AUGUST 14, 2013 Though we have lived and worked apart now for several years, that distance never removed the love I have for Rhonda. I am deeply saddened that we will not see her smile and hear her laugh again except in memories. I still remember all the great times we had working together, Rhonda, we will all miss you, I know you are in the sweet, loving arms of Jesus! FRANKIE ROBBINS, JUNE 29, 2013
RIP Rhonda!! You were an amazing person. Thanks for taking care of me when you had problems of your own. You always had a smile on your face and in your voice. You were an angel on earth. JOY SIMMONS, JUNE 28, 2013 Rhonda I am amazed and so impacted by the legacy you left of an amazing group of people that you helped during a difficult time as their heart transplant coordinator. You co-workers also were so proud to have you as a part of your team. I can only say that they way I can give something back to you is to make sure that your mom and daughter are supported in love and to do the things you would have done. I know your spirit will live on in them and your other lovely family members and friends. Your physical presence will be missed but we know you are with us in spirit. Love always, NANCY L BENT, JUNE 28, 2013 Sweet Gwen, my heart breaks for you over the loss of your sweet Rhonda. I will forever remember her beautiful smile as well as the love and kindness she always had for others, just like her Mother. Haven't seen either of you in years, but can still hear your sweet voices and see those heart warming smiles! You both have touched so many lives in such a positive way! I pray for strength for you and your family that can only come from God... PAUL MCCARTNEY, JUNE 28, 2013 I have a deep affection for all of the staff at Medical City Transplant. But the wonderful Rhonda Newman was easily my favorite. Visiting with her, talking with her on the phone, knowing her professionalism and her kind heart were all a special part of my post-transplant recovery. Thank you for all you have given to me but especially to all of the transplant patients whose lives you've touched. There is a very special place in heaven for you. I will miss you and I promise to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. WALLY WAWRO, JUNE 28, 2013 Rhonda was an amazingly beautiful person. God gave her a kind, caring spirit that enabled her to touch the lives of all who knew her. As a nurse, there was no medical challenge too great or too small that she could not find a solution
for or knew someone who could. She was never too busy to listen to even my most trivial ooncerns. She was a blessing to my life and a good friend to me and my wife, Sue. We both agreed that she was truly an angel on a mission from God. Her position at the Transplant Center will be filled and I will have a new coordinator. But no one can or ever will be able to take her place. She was that special to us. I know she is with God and wherever she is in Heaven, there is that great smile of hers on her face, a pot of gumbo and rice cooking, shrimp are plentiful, crawfish are always in season and she is counting on us to bring the boudin. JOHN WALTER MITCHELL, JUNE 27, 2013 Rhonda, you made us all feel so special with your warm smile and uplifting spirit. I know you will be watching over us now from Heaven just like you watched over us at Medical City Transplant. I will miss you, Angel Nurse Rhonda. MARGARET WOOLLETT, JUNE 27, 2013 Dearest Rhonda, Me and my family were blessed to have known you. You will be greatly missed. We are all heartbroken. You were truly an angel. I was fortunate to have such a caring and kind transplant nurse and friend. NANDLAL VAGHELA, JUNE 27, 2013 Rhonda has been a "blessing" to me and my wife since the day I met her during my heart transplant. Just her presence was such an uplifting experience, and her smile was contagious. I will miss seeing Rhonda during my visits to Medical City, but I was "Blessed" to have known her. Her presents in my life was truly a gift from "GOD". MIKE BOYDSTON, JUNE 27, 2013 Oh MY Rhonda... my heart is broken. You helped me through many tough situations in my life. I loved you as a dear friend and as my Transplant Nurse. I will miss you the rest of my life. CINDY L TEAGUE, JUNE 27, 2013
