Foreword I would like to take the time to explain to you some important information about this course: This page will be exactly the same in every lesson so if you have read it already by all means scroll down. 1st The emphasis in all my products is that: You reap what you sow (therefore sow the word of God) And for you to take the scriptures personally (therefore apply them to yourself). So when you read I or me it is not to be read as me the author but as you the reader. 2nd I would hope that it is obvious that the same scriptures apply to all who are in Christ Jesus and it is with great humility that we can take the scriptures personally and apply them to ourselves. 3rd Many of the scriptures used apply to Israel as a nation or to other individuals in the Bible and applying all of them to ourselves may not necessarily be in context however certainly can be used to illustrate the blessings to us personally. 4th I have used the King James Version of the Bible for the scriptures however I also have used the Bible concordance, dictionaries and other translations to expand on the meanings of various words. 5th The whole purpose of this series is to be able to get to the point where we can truly appreciate who we are in Christ. All of the scriptures and affirmations used are designed to help us get to this goal using the principle of we reap what we sow. Page 3

6th All of the scriptures and affirmations mentioned throughout this course are slanted towards highlighting just the positive. This course does not address the issues of wrongdoing and in no way condones or excuses sin but is solely designed to help us understand our full potential in Christ. This is of particular importance to me as I do not want to just tickle your ears because that will not profit you at all. We must get the right balance and that can only come from reading the Bible. There are some serious consequences in just telling you everything is okay when it may not be as the following scripture shows Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:32) It is my great hope that after you see all of the promises of God broken down for you into bite size chunks and understand the awesome benefits of being in Christ Jesus you will be so stirred up that you will only want to serve him and him only. 7th Finally I also hope it is obvious that this course is just the work of a mere mortal man and in no way can replace the Holy Bible in any way. I do hope it serves to help you become a more successful Christian and reap all the benefits that are associated with abiding in Christ. Note: If you complete this entire course you will have a total of 51 lessons jam packed with positive affirmations inspirational Bible verses commentary and a total of more then 200 minutes of affirmations recorded on mp3. Scriptures for Sermons, Group Conversation Starters and Bible Study 2 Corinthians 2:14 encourages me to thank God who always causes me to triumph in Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says thanks be to God, who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:37 declares me to be more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ who loved me. Romans 12:21 encourages me to overcome evil with good. 1 John 2:14 says that because the word of God dwells in me I have overcome the wicked one. 1 John 4:4 declares that greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world. 1 John 5:4 declares that because I am born of God I have overcome the world. Revelations 2:7 says that as an overcomer I will eat of the tree of life. In Revelations 2:11 it tells me as an overcomer I will not be hurt of the second death. Revelations 2:17 says that as an overcomer I will eat of the hidden manna. Page 5

Revelations 2:26 proclaims that as an overcomer I will be given power over the nations. Revelations 3:5 says that as an overcomer I will be clothed in white raiment and have my name written in the book of life. Revelations 3:12 says that as an overcomer I will be made as a pillar in the temple of God and receive a new name written down in heaven. Revelations 3:21 wonderfully proclaims that as an overcomer I will be granted to sit with Jesus in his throne. In Revelations 21:7 it says that as an overcomer I will inherit all things. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says thanks be to God, who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:31 declares that if God is for me then who can be against me. Page 6

God always causes me to triumph in Christ God gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ I am more than a conqueror through him that loved me I will overcome evil with good I have overcome the wicked one Greater is he that is me than he that is in the world I am born of God and overcome the world As an overcomer I will eat of the tree of life As an overcomer I shall not be hurt of the second death As an overcomer I will eat of the hidden manna As an overcomer I will receive power over the nations As an overcomer I will be clothed in white raiment As an overcomer I will have my name in the book of life As an overcomer I will be a pillar in the temple of God As an overcomer I shall receive a new name written down in heaven As an overcomer I will sit with Jesus in his throne As an overcomer I shall inherit all things Thanks be to God who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ I am born of God and have victory over the world If God is for me who can be against me It is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me and he has overcome the world In Christ I have victory over sin In Christ I have victory over death In Christ I live a victorious life Page 7

Triumphant The word triumphant even sounds powerful does it not? And so are the words closely associated with it such as: over come, victory, and conquer. To be triumphant is to be the conqueror, the over comer, and the victor. I feel another acronym coming on and this one contains all of the above V.I.C.T.O.R. V - VICTORY I - IMMORTALITY C - CONQUEROR T - TRIUMPH O - OVER COMER R - RESURRECTION V.I.C.T.O.R. #1 V - Victory Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. Page 8

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:51-58) There are a lot of things mentioned in those wonderfully verses so let s slow things down a bit and itemize them all: I show you a mystery Mystery: a hidden thing, a secret, hidden purpose or counsel We shall not all die And what a secret to reveal there will be some people who will never die. Most of us will die (called sleep) until the Lord Jesus comes back to resurrect us (wake us up) but the believers in Christ who are alive at this point in history will never taste death. But we shall all be changed It makes no difference if we die first or if we are still alive when the Lord returns as the end result will be the same we shall all be changed. Transformed, exchange one thing for another. In a moment In the twinkling of an eye, immediately or instantly. Page 9

At the last trump This is when it will happen and it perhaps is a reference to the last trump mentioned in the book of Revelation. The trumpet shall sound The trumpet shall sound. So often throughout the scriptures victory is associated with a trumpet sound. It is also associated with sounding the alarm or warning. The dead shall be raised incorruptible Not liable to corruption or decay, imperishable. It is not a pretty picture realizing what happens to our body after we die. It corrupts and decays however the good news is that Jesus will raise us up in an incorruptible condition. We who are still alive will be changed The dead shall be raised incorruptible and we who are still alive at the coming of the Lord shall be changed. Remember the meaning of change mentioned above? In case you have forgotten already here it is again: Transformed, exchange one thing for another. For this corruptible must put on incorruption We will change the corruptible for incorruptible. In other words we will exchange our incorruptible bodies for incorruptible ones. How s that for some body work? Beats plastic surgery hands down we will exchange our old body for a completely new model. Page 10

This mortal must put on immortality We will change from mortal to immortal reflect on this for a minute we can not die we will live forever. Try counting to infinity and of course you can t do it, but it sure drives home the point that forever never runs out. Then death will be swallowed up in victory What a victory the destruction of death. Totally swallowed up and gone. That s right gone the future for those who believe in Christ is one where we will no longer experience death. O death, where is your sting Death doesn t worry us any more because it has lost its sting. We know that one day we will rise again and live forever. O grave, where is your victory The grave has lost its victory as it does not have the power to keep us down because Christ has already declared he will raise us up. And in his own death and resurrection he has already shown us how it will be done. The sting of death is sin Death has lost its sting because sin has been dealt with by the death of Jesus Christ upon the cross. The strength of sin is the law The strength of sin has been replaced with the grace of God which has broken the power of sin. Page 11

Thanks be to God Amen. He has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ God himself has given to us the victory over death through Jesus Christ. Thank you God. Our labor is not in vain in the Lord. What a reward, what a superannuation plan, what a retirement plan, and we have the greatest life insurance policy possible. Our labor is certainly not in vain. V.I.C.T.O.R. #2 I - Immortality But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. (2 Timothy 1:10) We have already covered some of this topic above however being immortal sounds so good let s talk about it just a little bit more. Blow the trumpet, sound the decree, and proclaim to all. Hear ye, hear ye, gather around for a major announcement. Ready Page 12

Christ has abolished death. Where are all the journalists? Why isn t this all over the news? Why don t we have people running around in mass excitement? Why is everyone still looking so worried? Why is everyone so concerned about their future? Didn t you hear? Death is abolished. I don t get it In my country (Australia) we just had our Prime Minister declare he was abolishing a tax. There were journalist everywhere, a big press conference, and it was all over the news. Abolish a tax? Please Jesus has abolished death! The most amazing thing ever and I can t find it in one news broadcast. Dear reader, you are hearing about it now. Take no thought for tomorrow, be anxious for nothing, and rejoice in the Lord always because you will be able to continue rejoicing for all eternity. V.I.C.T.O.R. #3 C - Conqueror Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Page 13

We have already covered most of this in an earlier module however let s have a final look at what we are more than conquerors over: In tribulation you are more than a conqueror In distress you are more than a conqueror In persecution you are more than a conqueror In famine you are more than a conqueror In nakedness you are more than a conqueror In peril you are more than a conqueror In sword you are more than a conqueror In all these things we are more than conquerors. Through him that loved us go through these things with the Lord and you will win, you will have the victory, and you will be the conqueror. V.I.C.T.O.R. #4 T - Triumph Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. (2 Corinthians 2:14) Paul was speaking about the gospel being successfully preached despite strong opposition. This is the greatest triumph of all - people hearing and responding to the gospel. And God always causes us to triumph in Christ. Page 14

For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? (2 Corinthians 2:15-16) Nothing is better than the sweet smell of success is a phrase we hear quite often. And here Paul is says we are to God a sweet savour of Christ. Elsewhere Paul uses the term sweet smelling savour. That is what we are like, when we are talking about the gospel to people. To some we are the savour (smell, taste) of death but to others we are the savour of life unto life. The NLT version says: But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. We are like the pillar of fire that stood between the Egyptians and the Israelites the night God through Moses parted the Red Sea. It was a source of light for Israel but the same pillar was a source of darkness for the Egyptians. And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. (Exodus 14:19-20) When we spread the gospel it is the same. To some it is the source of light, and it is a savour of life while to others; from the exact same source, it is a source of darkness and is a savour of death. Victory for us because to God; we are the sweet savour of Christ. Next time someone asks you what perfume you are wearing, tell them you use the same perfume as Jesus. Page 15

V.I.C.T.O.R. #5 O Overcomer Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21) This is how you win: You only need one weapon and against this weapon nothing can stand in your way. What is it? Good. That is how you win you overcome, you conquer, you are victorious, and you triumph over evil with good. God has given you the secret recipe for success and the preceding verses he told us how to put it into practical use Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men. If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. (Romans 12:16-20) This is how you overcoming evil with good: Do not repay anyone evil for evil Provide things honest in the sight of everyone Try to live peaceably with everyone Do not avenge yourselves Put aside your wrath and leave room for God to deal with them Feed and give drink to your enemies if they hunger and thirst By doing this shall heap burning coals on their heads Page 16

The last point clearly shows the victory is yours if you do it God s way. And we should feel sorry for our enemies because God is our Father and they are asking for trouble so be good to them. For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5) Whosoever is born of God overcomes the world This is the victory that overcomes the world even out faith Who can overcome the world? The person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.(john 16:33) Be of good cheer Jesus has overcome the world. This entire series is designed to help us realize who we are in Christ and all of the associated benefits. The fact is we are in Christ and the victories he has won are ours also. Sometimes it can be difficult to comprehend so let s put it this way. Imagine that all of us who are Christian are in a bus. This bus has special powers and it can go under the deepest sea, it can fly like an airplane and it can transport its passengers to different dimensions. Everyone who is on the bus through no power or ability of their own also go under the water, fly in the air and go to different dimensions. I could go on however I think that is enough to help us realize Page 17

Jesus is that bus in him we overcome the world. In the Jesus bus we are translated from death to life. In the Jesus bus we are taken from this life to the next, from mortal to immortal, and in this bus death is abolished. Do you get it? All we have to do is be a passenger on the Jesus bus. It is the bus that protects and takes us places. All we have to do is be in Jesus and he takes us from one victory to the next. V.I.C.T.O.R. #6 R - Resurrection The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection.(matthew 22:23) There were two main religious groups called the Pharisees who happened to believe in the resurrection of the dead and the Sadducees who didn t. And that is why they were always Sad You See Okay that may be a lame joke but without the hope of the resurrection of the dead there is no hope and our religion is in vain. So the final victory of all will come when Jesus raises us from the dead and we become immortal. Everlasting life is the ultimate triumph we get gifted with by Jesus Christ. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. (Luke 20:36) We can not die any more. We will be equal to the angels. We are the children of God. Because we are children of the resurrection. Page 18

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. (John 11:25) Remember the story about the Jesus bus earlier? We are in Christ and he is going to transport us from our current place of residence (mortality) to our new place of abode (immortality). Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. (Revelations 20:6) The second death has no power over us and we shall reign with Christ. Oh What a glorious victory. We are triumphant and more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. For all things are for your sake Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 4:15-16) Page 19

Why does God always cause me to triumph in Christ? Why does God give me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ? Why am I more than a conqueror through him that loved me? Why will I overcome evil with good? Why have I overcome the wicked one? Why is he that is me Greater than he that is in the world? Why am I born of God and overcome the world? As an over comer Why will I eat of the tree of life? As an over comer Why will I not be hurt of the second death? As an over comer Why will I eat of the hidden manna? As an over comer Why will I receive power over the nations? As an over comer Why will I be clothed in white raiment? As an over comer Why will I have my name in the book of life? As an over comer Why will I be a pillar in the temple of God? As an over comer Why will I receive a new name written down in heaven? As an over comer Why will I sit with Jesus in his throne? As an over comer Why will I inherit all things? Why am I born of God and have victory over the world? If God is for me who can be against me? Why is it no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me and he has overcome the world? Why do I have victory over sin in Christ? Why do I have victory over death? Why do I live a victorious life? Page 20
