NEWS FROM THE ARNDT FAMILY Dear members of Calvary Lutheran Church As I'm sure you can imagine these past couple months have been pretty busy, but I send you greetings from our new home in Lester Prairie, MN. I pray that you are all well and enjoying the summer months. Also, before I fill you in on the details of what's been happening for our family lately, I'd like to thank you all for the love and support you provided for me and my family this past year. We all know how important it is to have a church family and you all helped make that possible for us this past year; as well as allowing me to grow and develop as I finished my studies at seminary. I can definitely say serving you all at Calvary over the past year helped me grow in my understanding of keeping Christ at the heart and center of our lives. I also became more comfortable preaching and leading service. Thank you! After our last Sunday at Calvary, we spent about a month in Indiana before moving to Minnesota on June 25th. We rented a moving truck and a member from the St. Peter congregation in Lester Prairie, graciously offered to fly out and drive the truck, which made it a lot less stressful for Ivy. The move went smoothly and we were welcomed to Minnesota by several members of the congregation who helped us unload into our beautiful parsonage just across the parking lot from the church. It didn't take us long to get things unpacked and settled in. We also spent some time with my family before my ordination/installation service on July 8 th. The ordination service was very nice, If I remember correctly there were 17 Pastors who attended. After the service there was a nice meal and time to celebrate. Almost three weeks have passed and I'm really grateful to be called as the Pastor here at St. Peter. The congregation has been welcoming and loving, the community is quiet and friendly, and I'm able to spend plenty of time with Ivy and Anastasia. By the way, Anastasia is growing fast, she's now able to crawl around and pull herself up on furniture. Maybe in another couple months she'll be walking. I pray the Lord continues to bless you, we'll stay in touch. In Christ, Pastor Arndt & family The Arndt family s mailing address is below. Pastor Joshua & Ivy Arndt 90 Kennedy Avenue S Lester Prairie MN 55354
