STOCK SALES INSTRUCTIONS So you and I have decided to go on a Youth Mission Trip and share the love of Christ with others through our actions. That is great! What now? First of all, and most importantly, we need to pray for a spirit-filled, safe, effective, and fun week. And secondly, we ve got to come up with the funds. That means raising money to support our much-needed work. Here s how it works: Along with your registration forms, you received 10 blank stock certificates. Your job is to sell those stock! How do you do that? YOU ASK friends, family, church members, and anyone else who looks the slightest bit interested, if they would be willing to support you on a mission trip to Jackson, Ohio. Be sure to tell them WHAT and WHO they are investing in. You will be helping others who are either physically or financially unable to care for their homes. This may sound a little scary, but relax, trust God with it, and know that nearly everyone wants to support you in this. What do the donors get out of it? They will be receiving a BEAUTIFULLY written note from you, filling them in on your amazing experience and THANKING them for their generous support (because without their faith in you and God, you wouldn t be there). We ll have stationery and addressed envelopes ready for you. The donors are also invited to the Ice Cream Social & Slide Show on Thursday, August 6 at 7:00 pm at church where they can visit with mission trippers, watch a slide show of our experience, and of course, eat ice cream. The suggested donation for the stock is $20, $50, or $100 but OF COURSE, if someone wants to give more or less, that s great. Every little bit gets us closer to our goal. Fill in each stock sheet completely and give the top half of the stock to the donor to keep. BE SURE TO THANK THEM! If you re at church, fold the bottom portion of the stock sales report around the money and place it in the envelope that will be at the sales table. For stock you sell outside of church, you can put it in the envelope on Sunday, or give it to the Church Office. Please turn in the sales reports and money as you get them so we can keep our fund-raising tally up to date! Each youth is REQUIRED to sell (or purchase) AT LEAST $160 worth of stock certificates. Please consider selling more because any extra will support the mission trip as a whole. If you don t want to ask other folks to buy stock, you can buy them from yourself, but you have to raise at least $160. (This is in addition to the $50 registration fee.) Also, on Sundays, May 3, 10, and 17 we ll have stock sales tables set up in the Parlor (after each service), outside the Great Hall (after the 9:30 service), and at the Tower Entrance (after the 11:00 service). Contact Curt for a time slot. Every youth who attends Church of the Saviour should work at least one time slot, and the sales you make during your time slot will be credited to YOU! What an easy way to help reach your goal without having to use ALL your charm!!!! (Keep in mind you will likely only raise a portion of what you need at the sales tables you ll still need to do some asking on your own.) All the money and sales reports MUST be in by JUNE 28! That s JUNE 28! And once more, JUNE 28! Finally, THANK YOU for doing your part to make the Youth Mission Trip possible and for demonstrating to others what it means to be a Christian Youth today! Please contact Curt Campbell if you have any questions: curt@chsaviour.org or (216) 903-9610.
