God s Promise to Rescue His Creation Stay Calm, God s Rescue Operation

As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and there were the Egyptians coming after them! The Israelites were terrified and cried out to the LORD for help. They said to Moses: Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Isn t this what we told you in Egypt: Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness. Exodus 14:10-12

So the Egyptians assigned taskmasters over the Israelites to oppress them with forced labor They worked the Israelites ruthlessly and made their lives bitter with difficult labor in brick and mortar and in all kinds of fieldwork. They ruthlessly imposed all this work on them. Exodus 1:11,13-14

But Pharaoh hardened his hear this time also and did not let the people go. Exodus 8:32

I am the LORD; I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt. The blood on the houses where you are staying will be a distinguishing mark for you; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No plague will be among you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:12-13

But Moses said to the people, Don t be afraid. Stand firm and see the LORD s salvation that he will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you, and you must be quiet. Exodus 14:13-14

Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD. They said: I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted; he has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea. The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father s God, and I will exalt him. The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name Exodus 15:1-3

So the LORD God said to the serpent I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you (the serpent) will strike his heel. Genesis 3:14-15

[The Father] has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14 Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through his death he might destroy the one holding the power of death that is, the devil and free those who were held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death. Hebrews 2:14-15

For in subjecting everything to [Jesus], [God] left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subjected to him. But we do see Jesus made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God s grace he might taste death for everyone crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death. Hebrews 2:8-9

The LORD is my light and my salvation whom should I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life whom should I dread? When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell. Though an army deploys against me, my heart will not be afraid; though a war breaks out against me, I will still be confident. I am certain that I will see the LORD s goodness in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:1-3, 13-14

For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may have mercy on all. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and untraceable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? And who has ever given to God, that he should be repaid? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:32-36

Don t Be Afraid Stand Firm and See the Lord s Salvation With a Quiet Confidence Know the Lord is Fighting for Us. For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said: You will be delivered by returning and resting; Your strength will lie in quiet confidence. Isaiah 30:15
