Coming Events & Notices NEXT WEEK Family Worship We ll be having a family worship in both services on Sunday, September 30th. Kelly Rector will be speaking. Only nursery care will be available that day, as kids will be participating in the entire service. COMING SOON Missions Sunday Sunday, October 14th, is Missions Sunday. We ll be celebrating missions work with our guest speaker, Barbara Bolick, one of our special interest missionaries serving in Chile. We ll also collect an offering for missions after both services. Opportunities GIVING & SERVING OPPORTUNITIES Hurricane Relief If you're looking for ways to help people affected by Hurricane Florence and want 100% of your donations to go to relief efforts, we encourage you to donate to the One Great Hour of Sharing offering. To give to this offering, designate envelopes and checks OGHS- Hurricane Florence and place in the offering plate. (You can also give online at abc-oghs.org.) Edna Martin Center Pantry Drive We re collecting items for the supply pantry at the Edna Martin Christian Center in Indianapolis. Items needed include canned goods, paper products, and toiletries. A box will be available in the lower auditorium for dropping off donations through October 21st. Deaconess Team Our deaconess team is looking for women of all ages to join their team. If you re interested in visiting our shut-ins, encouraging our college students, helping with baptisms, communion and serving our congregation, this is the place for you! To join the team, please contact Beth Skirvin at 812-599-2940. House of Hope We re collecting items for the House of Hope food pantry on an ongoing basis. Needs include boxes or bags of cereal, canned fruits vegetables soups meats and canned meals, pastas of all kinds and spaghetti sauce, and toilet paper and other personal hygiene items. Please avoid donating economy sizes. To donate, drop off items in the lower auditorium. (We will be collecting an offering for HOH next Sunday, September 30th.) Jefferson House We re collecting items for the Jefferson House, a local inhouse rehab program for men with alcohol and drug addictions. They especially need paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. Items can be dropped off in the lower auditorium. (Please label donations Jefferson House so we know what ministry you are donating to.) Crafts/Baked Goods Mark your calendars! Our Mission Circles need items to sell at the Craft Bazaar on November 3rd. They especially appreciate donations of baked goods, and also need handmade crafts, including holiday items and wreaths. All proceeds will go toward missions. If you d like to donate items, please bring them to the lower auditorium during office hours the week of the bazaar, or between 8a and 9a on Saturday, November 3rd. Bulletin announcements are due the Thursday before the Sunday you d like it printed. Guidelines for writing one are available outside our office.
