THE WORD OF GOD (All standing) Celebrant: Blessed be God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. People: And blessed be his kingdom, now and for ever. Amen. Celebrant: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you. Celebrant: Let us pray. Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen. Trisagion Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy Immortal One Have mercy, have mercy on us. Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy Immortal One Have mercy, have mercy on us. Celebrant: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you. Celebrant: Let us pray. Collect of the Day Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, you know our necessities before we ask and our ignorance in asking: Have compassion on our weakness, and mercifully give us those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask; through the worthiness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. First Reading: Genesis 28:10-19a (At the conclusion of the reading...) Reader: The Word of the Lord. People: Thanks be to God. THE LITURGY OF THE WORD Psalm 139:1-11, 22-23 p. 794-795 (Read responsively by the half verse.) 1 LORD, you have searched me out and known me; * you know my sitting down and my rising up; you discern my thoughts from afar. 2 You trace my journeys and my resting-places * and are acquainted with all my ways. 3 Indeed, there is not a word on my lips, * but you, O LORD, know it altogether. 4 You press upon me behind and before * and lay your hand upon me. 5 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; * it is so high that I cannot attain to it. 6 Where can I go then from your Spirit? * where can I flee from your presence? 7 If I climb up to heaven, you are there; * if I make the grave my bed, you are there also.

8 If I take the wings of the morning * and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 9 Even there your hand will lead me * and your right hand hold me fast. 10 If I say, "Surely the darkness will cover me, * and the light around me turn to night," 11 Darkness is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day; * darkness and light to you are both alike. 22 Search me out, O God, and know my heart; * try me and know my restless thoughts. 23 Look well whether there be any wickedness in me * and lead me in the way that is everlasting. Glory to the Father; and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever. Amen Second Reading: Romans 8:12-25 (At the conclusion of the reading ) Reader: The Word of the Lord. People: Thanks be to God. Gospel: Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43 (Please stand for the reading of the Gospel.) Gospeler: The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to St. Matthew. People: Glory to you, LORD Christ. (At the conclusion of the reading.) Gospeler: The Gospel of the LORD. People: Praise to you, LORD Christ. Sermon (Silence to hear God speak.) Rev. Lee Martin The Nicene Creed (Please stand and profess together.) We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. Prayers of the People BCP, p. 387 (The Leader and People pray responsively.)

Father, we pray for your holy Catholic Church; That we all may be one. Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve you; That your Name may be glorified by all people. We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons; That they may be faithful ministers of your Word and Sacraments. We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world; That there may be justice and peace on the earth. Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake; That our works may find favor in your sight. Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble; That they may be delivered from their distress. Give to the departed eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. We praise you for your saints who have entered into joy; May we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom. (The Celebrant adds a concluding Collect.) The Confession BCP, p. 360 Celebrant: Let us confess our sins against God and our neighbor. (Moment of Silence) Celebrant and People: Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen. Assurance of Pardon Celebrant: People: The Peace Celebrant: People: Almighty God, have mercy on you, forgive you all your sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life. Amen. The Peace of the Lord be always with you. And also with you. (The ministers and the people greet one another in the name of the Lord.) Offering (We sing and worship God as we offer all we have and all we are to Him, symbolized by the giving of monetary gifts from our own resources for the spread of God s Kingdom through Holy Trinity, Broomfield.) Offertory Oh Lord You re Beautiful Oh Lord you re beautiful Your face is all I seek For when your eyes are on this child Your grace abounds to me Oh Lord please light the fire That once burned bright and clear Replace the lamp of my first love That burned with holy fear

Oh Lord you re beautiful Your face is all I seek And when your hand is on this child Your healing I receive THE HOLY COMMUNION The Great Thanksgiving (Eucharistic Prayer A) BCP, p. 361 Celebrant: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you. Celebrant: Lift up your hearts. People: We lift them up to the LORD. Celebrant: Let us give thanks to the LORD our God. People: It is right to give him thanks and praise. Celebrant: It is right... to proclaim the glory of your Name. Sanctus (Justin Brooks) Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of power and might Heaven and Earth are full of your glory Hosanna in the highest Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord Hosanna in the highest Celebrant: Holy and gracious Father... Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith. Celebrant and People: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. Celebrant: We celebrate... Almighty Father, now and forever. People: AMEN. And now let us pray with confidence as our Savior Christ has taught us, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. The Breaking of the Bread BCP, p. 364 Celebrant: Alleluia. Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. People: Therefore let us keep the feast. Alleluia. Celebrant: The gifts of God for the people of God...with thanksgiving. Amen. All who are baptized and who love and follow Jesus are welcome to receive Communion. Those not wishing to receive may cross their arms across their chest and receive a prayer for God s blessing. During Communion time prayer teams will be available in the back of the room. They will gladly pray with you individually for specific petitions or concerns after you have received the sacrament.
