Nesteruk Family Rosemarry Flemming Moseanko Family Grinwis/Baldwin Family Ruth Bower Minden Family Dear Church Family: Words cannot express our appreciation for the continuous out pouring of love, concern and most of all for all the prayers from our Church family during my hospitalization and beginning of my recovery. Jan and I have no doubt that the fervent prayers of all of you and God s mercy were crucial in a very serious time of need. As we review the events of the past three weeks, we are amazed at how God was leading and ever present in providing quality medical attention at very critical times. Now, he has provided us with peace, content and hope for whatever may lie ahead. May God be glorified as he leads us through the trials and tribulations of this world with the promise of eternal life. Thank you so very much for your loving, kind thoughts, your acts of kindness, many visits, emails, cards of encouragement, flowers and the delicious wholesome prepared meals. UPPER COLUMBIA CONFERENCE NEWS Now That s Smart!: Nine Pathfinder teams from around the Northwest gathered at the Upper Columbia Conference office March 8, 2014 for the North Pacific Union Pathfinder Bible Experience event. On average, each Pathfinder memorized between four to six chapters of 2 Samuel for the event! Find out who placed first and watch a video. http:// l.uccsda.org/2014pbe Creek Side Praise: You ve heard the phrase, If the good Lord willing and the creek don t rise. This past Thursday (March 6) the creek behind the Countryside church and school did rise, but God wasn t willing. Church members worked late into the night using a backhoe and shovels to create a berm they prayed would hold the flooding creek at bay. An urgent email requesting prayer went out and prayers went up. The following morning brought daylight, receding water and evidence that God had used the berm to protect the property. This is truly an answer to the prayers of God's people. Mister Wister s School: This week we re praying for Palisades Christian Academy in Spokane, WA, led by principal, Dan Wister. Please join us in praying for the school s mission trip to Panama that leaves this next Tuesday. In addition teachers and students at PCA ask for prayers for parents looking for jobs, those struggling with illnesses and for continued growth in their enrollment. We Believe... 1. That the Bible is the final authority for all belief and practice for the Christian (2 Timothy 3:16-17). 2. That there is one God revealed in three person God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17). 3. That we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (John 3:16, 1 John 5:12-13 & Ephesians 2:8-9). 4. That Christians who have been redeemed by Jesus will live in obedience to all of His commandments (John 14:15). 5. That Jesus will come again very soon (John 14:1-3). 6. That the requirements of the Ten Commandments are still binding on all people today, including the seventh-day Sabbath of the fourth commandment (Matthew 5:17, Exodus 20:8-11). 7. That the judgment which will decide the eternal destiny of all people is now taking place in heaven (Daniel 8:14, 9:25-27). 8. That when a person dies they do not go immediately to heaven or hell, but rest in the grave as one who is asleep awaiting the resurrection (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, John 5:28-29, 11:11-14). 9. That after Jesus comes again, the people of God will judge the world with Jesus, following which fire will fall from heaven to completely devour the wicked and purify the earth (1 Corinthians 6:2-3, Revelation 20:4-9, 2 Peter 3:10-13). 10. That God, as a loving Father, wants us to live healthful lives avoiding foods and substances He has declared unfit, and actively pursuing positive lifestyle habits (Leviticus 11, Proverbs 20:1, Daniel 1:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20). 11. That the followers of Jesus will live pure and honorable lives making sure their business, recreation and relationships meet the Bible standard (Philippians 4:8). 12. That God gives power through His people to bless the church and the world in miracles, teaching, prophecy, healing, mercy, and many other gifts (1 Corinthians 12). 13. That the Seventh-day Adventist Church fills a special role in the world today to prepare people for the 2nd coming of Jesus (Rev. 14:6-13). 14. That the Bible teaches that all who have accepted Jesus as their Savior/Lord, and who intend to obey all the teachings of the Bible should be baptized by immersion (John 3:5 & Matthew 28:19-20).
